Policies and Procedure You have just been hired as the new Administrator for Volunteer Programs for your local non-profit organization. Your first initiative is to create policies for the volunteer program; however, you are getting resistance from the Director and staff. Using the reading and resources from this week, explain why establishing policy is important and the steps you would take to overcome resistance The Episodic Volunteer How would you recommend volunteer organizations recruit and retain the Episodic Volunteer? Explain what challenges you would face while coaching the Episodic Volunteer. Use outside research to support your discussion Volunteer Administrator Imagine that you are the President of a Volunteer organization. Volunteers are a core part of the organization, but there has never been a Volunteer Administrator. The Volunteer program is expanding and you are questioning whether now is the time to bring someone in who would specifically manage the volunteer program. You are required to present a recommendation to the Board about whether or not the organization should hire a Volunteer Administrator. In a 3-5 page paper, examine the advantages and/or disadvantages of hiring a Volunteer Administrator. Then, make your recommendation to the Board and explain your reasoning. You may include a brief synopsis of your organization and the situation it is facing in order to substantiate your recommendation. Provide specific examples to illustrate your conclusions using a minimum of three resources properly quoted and cited.
