HOLINESS: ANTIDOTE FOR COMPLACENCY

Peter exhorts us in Verse 13 & tells us how to battle complacency. "Prepare your minds for action," or to some translation, "Gird up the loins of your mind." To gird up your loin is an ancient practice of gathering upone's robe when needing to move, when mobility is required. To gird up the loins of your mind means to cut all loose ends of our thinking, letting go of every parasite, every hindrance.What are the possible hindrances? Anything that consumes our mindabove God. It could be our favorite sins,past failures,material things,broken relationship, etc. Peter tells us to be like a horse with a "tapahoho." To have a complete focus on GOD and let Him lead us. To be sober in the spirit includes the idea of steadfastness,self control,clarity of mind,and moral decisiveness. Being ever connected to the King of Kings by praying and reading His word. Lasty, x our hope completely on Jesus. In this world, we are drawn to hope on our jobs, our family and friends and ourselves but what happens when these things failhope in the one who is immovable, unchangeable- JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. Seek His face and strive to emulate His holiness by tapping into His power that we may stand one day in His presence as He calls us His good and faithful servants.

WORD FROM THE PASTOR

Dear Friend, Gods blessing be upon you and your family. As we began our 40 day Love Dare challenge, we have heard great testimonies of breakthrough within a couple of days time. Truly God is faithful, though I know that some may be having difficulty to shine love especially when we deal with the unlovable. I leave you with this tr uth in Colossians 3:2 - Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. choose to i n te n t i o n a l l y l o v e despite the diculty. Grace be upon us all.

1 Peter 1:13 - Therefore, [a]prepare your minds for action, [b]keep sober in spirit, x your hope completely on the grace [c]to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Every believer has been called to seek Holiness after salvation was attained.To live a Godly life and have a 180 degree turn from our sins. This is the process of Sanctication. Experiencing God & His salvation for the first time was an unexplainable joy and we would wish that everyday was a Sunday, we stood on re for God as we experienced His life changing power. Then we hit a stagein our Christian life where we put our guards down and walk life as it is. We lose that re in our spirits as we hit aplateau stage and get stuck at it.

THREE STEPS TO SHAKE OFF COMPLACENCY

STEP 1: GIRD UP THE LOINS OF YOUR MINDIt is time to unclutter your mind, let go every parasite and hindrance that is stealing our focus from God alone. The key is to focus, focus on God and ask the Holy Spirit to dwell in your heart, mind and soul that we may stand on alert, focused and ready. STEP 2: BE SOBER IN SPIRIT. - Time to sober up. Picture a special forces soldier on a mission. Apart from full battle gear and weaponry- it is essential that he has his radio. This is his tool to communicate andgets updates from the command center. Though he understands his mission, he needs to be synced with last minute instructions, and intel to make his task a complete success. Being sober is syncing ourselves with what GOD instruct through His word and prayer. STEP 3: FIX OUR HOPE COMPLETELY ON JESUS - Sometimes we loose our reason to seek Holiness and become complacent. The reason why we should live a holy life is simply because our Father is Holy. As His children,we should reect who our Father is.Thus we can progress by focusing in Jesus, the author and nisher of our faith.

anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. *Pray for Jun Batulan that He may regain all his faculties as we pray that he focuses on You *Pray for the complete and perfect healing of Tatay Rading, Nanay Betty & Guig Villarico *Pray for the perfect healing of Medra Clemente- of her illness in the Thyroid glands- and that she be healed from breast cancer *For Complete Healing of Mylene Lozarito Odell *Pray for the healing of Susana Clemente and Mario Manosca -of their diabetis *Pray for the complete and perfect healing of Barbara Monasterial *Pray for the healing of Mayette Batulan-Cruz of her pancreatic cancer *Pray for the healing of Aida Solano of her hypertension, arthritis and regulate her blood sugar *Pray for the healing of Alistair Solano- that the ovarian cyst will just melt away * We pray for Grace Marquez that you may strengthen her and grant her peace. * May you also touch the heart of the owners of Aristocrat Jupiter Makati, Hap Chan Harbour Square, Tomas Mapua, Silver City, Lipa Batangas and Crystal Jade that they may be honest in their transaction and settle their account with G.I. Sandra that she focuses on God and that she be lled with the power of the Holy Spirit.
