Assignment Number: 2
Assignment Title: The use of fitness tests to determine fitness levels to improve
performance
Learning Outcomes: Pupils to understand what fitness tests are and how they are used to
assess different areas of fitness
Pupils to conduct three different fitness tests, following recommended protocol, record
results and provide clients with feedback on their results, commenting on what should be
done to improve these results
Assignment Deadline:
Scenario
You have been employed as a personal trainer to work with a sports client (choose one pupil from our
class). As part of assessing their fitness level you have asked them to perform 3 fitness tests (we are doing
this in class now). It is your job to explain to your client why you are doing this, what the 3 fitness tests
involve and then discuss the results with them. The results of these tests will then enable you to prepare a
training programme (which you will do in assignment 3).
Produce a portfolio (booklet) of your work which you can then give to your client.
