Implementation by departments is presented in Appendix IV, which includes status of implementation, learning objectives, a sample of rubrics and transforming actions, second semester extended process, and learning strategies integrated to course syllabi. The Departments of English and Spanish selected communication competencies, Humanities selected critical thinking, Social Science selected social responsibility, Biological Science chose research and creation and Physical Science Department selected scientific reasoning and research.

6 A sample of transforming actions follows: Faculty redesigned and approved rubrics, and scores are now tabulated by criteria. Course student learning goals and objectives reviewed, and updated syllabus placed on WEB. Various courses are under revision and a new course created with competencies integrated as objectives. Inventories of learning experiences are being prepared in one department and diversification of teaching strategies integrated as needed. Additional support has been assigned for analysis of findings and implementation (Campus coordinator and College coordinator were assigned and some departmental release time). Process to be extended to more courses and sections in the second semester, and special faculty workshops are being offered. Learning results are being discussed and instruments evaluated.
