1. ADMISSION PROCEDURE i. Written test is of two hours duration. Candidates having valid CAT / GATE / GMAT scores can exempt NICMAR written test. Written Test: The test covers 150 marks. Each question carries one mark. The exam is of general kind of aptitude test on Data Interpretation, Quantitative & Analytical Ability, English language and General Knowledge. This is like CAT / MAT examinations. You can refer similar guides / books available in the market for preparing such general management entrance examinations. Sample questions are attached herewith. ii. Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI): You should be presentable and conduct yourself as per prescribed GD norms. Group Discussion: 20 marks and total duration 55 minutes. Case Reading - 10 min. Case Discussion - 40 min. Case Summary Writing - 05 min. Personal Interview (PI): 30 marks. 2. Please reach Pune a day before the date given to you for Selection Process. Visit the Campus so that you can feel relaxed next day morning. 3. There are a number of clean economy class hotels / lodges near Pune Central Railway Station and in Deccan area, which are a few kms away from NICMAR Pune Campus. 4. You can buy lunch, tea / coffee at the campus cafeteria. 5. Reaching NICMAR Pune Campus. i. The Campus is about 14 kms away from Pune Central Railway Station and 7 kms from Pune University Gate. It is situated alongside the Bombay-Bangalore highway, opposite the National Sports Stadium and by the side of National Insurance Academy (NIA). You can travel via University Gate, Baner and NIA, Balewadi. The address is given below: National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR), 25 / 1, Balewadi, N.I.A. Post Office, Pune 411045, India. ii. Bus Route No.114 & 256 starts from Pune Municipal Corporation Bus Stand and drops you at NIA stop, about 2 minutes walk from NICMAR. But this Bus Route is infrequent and not dependable. It is better to take an auto rickshaw on your first trip to NICMAR Campus. The one-way trip may cost you Rs.120 to 160 from Pune Railway Station. We suggest that you may engage an auto to arrive at the above-mentioned address.
