FirstwemustrealizethatwhenJohnrecievesthevisionfromJesusthepersecutionof
Christiansbysocalledchristianshasnotyetoccurred.Iwouldthinkhewouldhave beenusedtoseeingbelieverspersecutedbythepagansthatwouldhavebeennormalas helivedduringpaganRome.Toseethem(believersinChrist)persecutedbyagroup professingtobefollowersofJesuswouldhaveIthinkbeenoutofcharacterandseemed possiblyabnormalorevencannabalisticnature.ThisIthinkinpartatleastiswhat causedhimtowonderormarvelortoinasensebeheldtransfixedonthewhoreand thebeastsheisseatedupon. Ifwelookinverseoneweseewheretheangelsayscomehithersoletslookatthe wordhitherasitisoriginaltext.Thewordcomewasextrapolatedfromthemeaning ofhitherinordertoIbelieveeaseunderstandingoftheverse. Revelation17:36 3Sohecarriedmeawayinthespiritintothewilderness:andIsawawomansitupona scarletcolouredbeast,fullofnamesofblasphemy,havingsevenheadsandtenhorns. 4Andthewomanwasarrayedinpurpleandscarletcolour,anddeckedwithgoldand preciousstonesandpearls,havingagoldencupinherhandfullofabominationsand filthinessofherfornication: 5Anduponherforeheadwasanamewritten,MYSTERY,BABYLONTHEGREAT,THE MOTHEROFHARLOTSANDABOMINATIONSOFTHEEARTH. 6AndIsawthewomandrunkenwiththebloodofthesaints,andwiththebloodofthe martyrsofJesus:andwhenIsawher,Iwonderedwithgreatadmiration. Inversesfour,fiveandsixweseeJohndescribeswhathesaw.Inverseseventhe angelnoticesthatJohnwonderedorwasconfusedaboutthewhore.Heisconfused because,Ibelieve,heseesthatshekillsthosepeoplewhichsheprofessestobe,thatis believersinJesusChrist.Theangelseesthisandstateshewillexplainthemystery

(thatJohnwonderedabout)ofthewomanandthescarletbeast. Revelation17:7 7Andtheangelsaiduntome,Whereforedidstthoumarvel?Iwilltelltheethemystery ofthewoman,andofthebeastthatcarriethher,whichhaththesevenheadsandten horns.

Inverseseightthrufourteenweseetheangeldescribesthebeast,whereitcomesfrom
whatitdoesorwhatitseffectisratherandwhereitsgoing.Inverseninetheangel beginstointroducethewomanandherrelationshipwiththebeast. Revelation17:89 8Thebeastthatthousawestwas,andisnot;andshallascendoutofthebottomlesspit, andgointoperdition:andtheythatdwellontheearthshallwonder,whosenameswere notwritteninthebookoflifefromthefoundationoftheworld,whentheybeholdthe beastthatwas,andisnot,andyetis. 9Andhereisthemindwhichhathwisdom.Thesevenheadsaresevenmountains,on whichthewomansitteth. Thewomanseatedonsevenhillsisalsodescribedasseatedonthescarletbeast.Rome hasalwaysbeenknownastheCityofSevenHillsorTheSevenHilledCityitwas wherepaganromeruledfrom,andwherePapalRomeledfrom.Frommystudyin DanielandRevelationontheScarlettBeastIfeelIhavedemonstratedeffectivelythat sheisrepresentativeoftheVatican,theMotherofHarlotsormotherofallother religionsthatcamefromherandthatsheabsorbedaforetime. Herformationin538A.D.didIbelieveconstituteaculminativesynthesisofthattime inrespecttoreligionandspecificallyChristianityoritsoutwardrepresentationandthe samethingishappeningagaintoday.InfactitwasloudlyproclaimedwhenPopeJohn PaulIIinvitedpeoplefromallotherreligionsincludingwitchdoctorsandeastern religionsaswellaswiccan,zoarastrian,kabbalah,theosophicetc.JPIIandourcurrent Popeare/werebothinsecretsocieties(freemasonsandpossiblyothers)aswellas affiliatedwithfinance,politicalphilosophyandglobalisation.Versetenbareslookingat. Versetenallowsustofurtherunderstandandrecognizetheidentitiesofthebeasts mentionedinDanielandRevelation.InChaptertwowewilltakeacloselookatverse tenhowithasbeeninterpretedbyothersaswellashowandwhyIinterpretitthewayI do.Theversereadsasfollows. SowithEGW'sinsightaswellasUriahSmith'swhichIhavebelowitallowsthoseofus alivenowtobetterunderstandandpossiblymoreaccuratelyunderstandRev.17:10,aswe areliving168yearsintotheirfuture(ifwecounttheirgenerationaround1844)wehave furtheraidjustastheydidofhistoryandGodsWord.AswellEgyptandAssyriawere notmentionedasanyofthebeastsandinfactweresubservienttoBabylonthefirstbeast mentionedinDaniel. OneofthegreatestnineteenthcenturyexponentsofthepropheciesofDanieland Revelation,UriahSmith,suggestedthatthesevenheadsrepresentedtheseventypesof governmentincontrolduringtheeraoftheRomanEmpirekingly,consular, decemviral,dictatorial,triumviral,imperialist,andpapal(UriahSmith,Danielandthe

WhileIagreeseveraltypesofgovernmentisfoundwithineachofthekings,Itendto feelthisisstillsomewhatvagueinnature,whichstandsincontrasttotheexactnatureof theBookofDanielascomparedtoRevelationitseemsRevelationshouldbarethesame exactnessinclarityanddescriptionasdoesDaniel(whichIbelieveitdoes). ThereasonIthoughtitcorrecttoplacetheVaticanastheseventhkingandnotthe

eighthisbecauseRevelation17isdealingwiththeJudgementofthegreatwhorenot thebeast.Andwefindfurtherdownchapter17concerningherdemiseorjudgementit happensatthehandsofthenationsthatgavetheirpoweruntothebeastsoin essencethebeastturnsonitsridersotospeak.Aswewillreaditsaysthatthesekings shallhatethewhoreandshalldestroyherandburnherwithfireforGoditsaysshallput it in their hearts to do so which we see in verse 16 and 17. Verse 18 gives more clarificationstatingthatthewomanorwhoreisthatgreatcitythatreignsover thekingsoftheearth.Letslookattheseversesbelow. ItsseemstoshowfromScripturethatwhenJesusreturnsthewhorewillhavehadher judgement,andthehornswillhavegiventheirpowerentirelyovertothebeast(verse17) untilthewordsofGodshallbefulfilled.Thereligionofthebeast(U.N.)ispure satanism/lucifarianismandpoliticallycollectivisticliketheVaticanandcommunism. TheseeventsIbelievewillincreasetheurgencyofJesusChristsreturn,remembering Matt.24:22 Matthew24:22 Andexceptthosedaysshouldbeshortened,thereshouldnofleshbesaved:butforthe
