    1. Supplypropstohelpchildrengetintotheirrolesasfollows: a. Darkrobeforthejudge b. Malletorrubberhammerforthejudge c. ACDcaseforevidence. 2. CopyandcutthecharacterinstructionsfromtheHereComestheJudgeroleplay,or writeouton3x5cards(seebelow). 3. Putallthecardsinacontainer. LEAVEOUTTHECARDTHATSAYSJUDGERESPONSE#2. 4. Havechildrendrawacardtoseewhatparttheyplay(judge,defendant,lawyerforthe defense,prosecutororaudience.) 5. OPTIONAL:PaidinFullstamp(maypurchaseatofficesupplystore.) 6. Copyandcutouttheversefortheweek. 7. Bringglue,tape,coloredpencilsand/orcrayons 8. Settheroomupasfollows: a. Atableandchairinfrontforthejudge b. Rowofchairsforthejury c. Separatetables(TVtrays)forthedefenseandtheprosecution. Pickapieceofpaperfromthecontainer.Youwillplaytherolethatsexplainedonthepaper.If youdrawthepaperwiththe#1,cometomeandIwillpersonallygiveyouyourinstructions.     SettingTheScene
    1. ThedefendantisontrialforstealingamusicCDfromastoreintheMall. 2.Herearethefactsofthecase: At3:30p.m.onAugust12ththesecurityalarmwentoffintheMusicStoreatthe Mall. Thedefendantwasaskedtowaituntilallbagscouldbecheckedforstolenitems. AmusicCDwasfoundinthedefendantsbagwhichhadnotbeenpaidfor.

    ActualRolePlay
    1. TheJudgewillhearbothsidesofthecaseandthendecidewhetherthedefendantis innocentorguilty. 2. Theprosecutionwillhave3minutestomakethecaseforaguiltydecision.Thenthe defensewillhave3minutestomakethecaseforanotguiltydecision.Thenwewill alllistentowhatthejudgedecides.
