Use your guidance and wisdom to inspire the great principles of this nation and this great state to influence each and every decision through the men and women chosen as representatives of the people. On this Memorial Day we honor those brave Americans, many of whom from this Lone Star State, gave their lives in defense of our nation. We celebrate the courage, tenacity, and dedication which led them to stay the course and give the ultimate sacrifice. Many of them faced certain demise as they were the victims of conventional and unconventional war, and some of weapons of mass destruction. Bless this assembly to be proponents of weapons of "mass instruction," such as fervent and superior education, wise use of the earth s

natural resources, and compassionate respect for you, the Creator, and all that you have created. Such weapons of mass instruction will better mankind and hasten the day when we will have no more victims of man s self-destruction. Bless their memory, their families and descendants, all of whom are benefactors of their bravery. O Lord, bless our nation and all those who love peace and justice. Ensure that we never forget those who have given their all, or you who make all things possible. Respectfully we pray. Amen.
