Energising worklife

Skills to create a dynamic workplace and transform the way you work with colleagues

In our interactions with work colleagues, we often encounter barriers, within ourselves and between people, to working productively together. Misunderstandings, disagreements, conflicting styles of working and different perspectives can all lead to a dysfunctional work place. Yet when people appreciate and support each other, and work constructively together, then opportunities for growth and innovation open up. Real insights and skills are required to: manage personal interactions effectively work co-operatively in a diverse team lead in a way that motivates and empowers release the creative potential of each individual The workshops on this program are highly interactive, participatory and fun, using artistic media where appropriate, and with time to reflect on, deepen and internalise the learning in relation to participants lives. In each session we will focus on a particular topic / theme. We will gain a real grasp of the issue by starting with an experiential exercise. We will evaluate our experience and draw out the learning points. Concepts will be introduced to give perspective, and further dialogue will address how to reinforce and apply the insights gained and the social sensitivity and skills learnt.

Social life is wholesome Only when each individual is active in the community In such a way as to acquire and reflect all its good qualities, And when communal life enables individuals To offer their treasures of thought, wealth of feeling and moral strength As nourishment for the community and the Spirits of the Age.
