Elect Terry Morgan

Alderman II City Council City of Meadows Place

"Suzann and I have not been long term residents of Meadows Place, but we love this fabulous city! "Those of you who have lived here for a while, will remember the old Southern Pacific railway station that was located in front of the Sugar Mill and is now the Sugar Land Chamber of Commerce... ...My grandfather was the Station Manager at that depot when it was last in service. "I am a native son and longtime resident of Fort Bend County. Born in Sugar Land Texas, my family has deep roots in the community. I am the father of two and grandfather of three. My wife Suzann and I will celebrate 45 years of marriage in June of this year. "Over the years, I have enjoyed many owner, management and service positions, some are as follows: I am a US Navy Vietnam Veteran. I have served as President of the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the U.S. trade mission to the Philippines. I have been Senior Warden at Holy Cross Church and have participated in numerous missionary trips to Guatemala. "In my everyday life I wear many hats: husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, neighbor, friend and follower of the risen Christ. In 2009 when it became time for us to downsize our life we chose to move here and be a part of this community... And now, we cannot imagine living anywhere else. "I am a candidate for Alderman Position #2. I am asking for your support. If elected, I promise to be your voice at City Hall."
her campaign promise. Instead, she voted in favor of roundabouts and continues to give the city's plan her whole hearted and vocal support, implying that, technically, she never opposed it! Meadows Place Citizens have overwhelmingly and repeatedly voiced their opposition to this venture. This unpopular city proposal includes four consecutive intersection roundabouts to replace the stop signs. Drivers on Kirkwood would face a 4 lanes to 2 lane merge... then have to thread 4 circles before being restored to 4 lanes on the far end. If elected, I promise to support the majority of citizens of Meadows Place, vote to oppose this project, and work toward a sensible solution... ...Unlike my opponent, I will keep my promise.

Election Day Saturday, May 12, 2012 Early Voting April 30 - May 8 I promise... to be your voice on City Council. I promise... to promote fiscally sound Meadows Place government. I am against... Narrowing South Kirkwood from four lanes to two. I am against... Roundabouts on South Kirkwood. I will... Use my Experience to make Meadows Place even better. I promise... to vote for those city proposals that have popular citizens support.
During the 2010 election, my opponent won her first election on a promise. She was able to achieve wide popular support because she was opposed to the city's roundabout plan. She assured her supporters that, if elected, she would work aggressively to stop it. Unfortunately, when that issue recently came to a vote, she chose not to keep
