1.0 Introduction
This is a training proposal for learning solution to develop effective and consistent Rapid eLearning using Xerte. It is an open source eLearning authoring tool that has been widely used by universities and schools all over the world. The training is hands-on programme using best practices and a scenario-based exercise to develop basic skills and knowledge of rapid eLearning. The training will teach the features and functions of Xerte as well as techniques for creating content design and authoring processes.

2.0 About Us
This training will be provided by Perusahaan PT Dot Dot. The company was incorporated in 2010 with 2 years of experience in providing training on multimedia content development and eLearning. Please refer attachment for the detail on company profile.

3.0 Training Objectives

To introduce the best practices of instructionally sound content authoring and fundamentals of rapid eLearning development with Xerte.

7.0 Training Duration

It would take 2 full-day courses (6 hours a day) to ensure participants able to use the tool effectively. However, we can prepare training schedule that tailor for the customer requirements to ensure minimal interference to the school day-to-day activities. The date and number of hours for the training will be decided by the customer.

8.0 Training Venue

Customer is responsible for selecting a mutually agreed upon location for hosting the training session. The location for the training shall be at a site provided by the customer.

9.0 Training Requirements

Attendees will bring their own laptop with minimum specifications as follows:

Pentium 233-megahertz (MHz) processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended) At least 64 megabytes (MB) of RAM (128 MB is recommended) At least 1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available space on the hard disk CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive Keyboard and a Microsoft Mouse or some other compatible pointing device Video adapter and monitor with Super VGA (800 x 600)or higher resolution Sound card Speakers or headphones

In developing Xerte we have sought to make it very easy to perform simple, common tasks, yet possible to do anything you want. Xerte seeks to provide a focus on the types of problems and situations that developers of interactive learning content frequently encounter.

Xerte provides a visual, icon-based authoring environment that allows learning objectsto be easily created with the minimum of scripting. Functionality that would be time-consuming to develop from scratch in other tools can be created very quickly in Xerte. Key Features Comfortable Interaction Applies ready-made navigation buttons or uses various button types with action functions to create interaction easily. Dynamic Live Content Records voice, video and electronic board for creating dynamic live lecture without any additional tools. Integrating Media Objects Insert all kind of media objects (multimedia) and existing material such as PowerPoint, PDF, Flash, HTML and websites. Various Outputs Created contents can be published and deployed in SCORM compliant in Learning Management System (LMS). Open Source Tool Xerte is an open source tool that can be deployed with minimum costs.
