Salary generally starts from Rp.9,697,801 per month depending on qualifications, experience, and salary history. The U.S. Agency for International Development/ Education Office (EDU) is seeking individual for the position of PROJECT MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT (Higher Education), located at Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan 3-5, Jakarta, Indonesia.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION: The Project Management Assistant (PMA) is responsible for providing programmatic, management, and oversight assistance for all programs in the higher education section of the USAID Education Office. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the advancement of the Higher Education program. S/he will also provide support for budget planning and execution, project management, logistical support, and efficient program management of the higher education section. Specifically, the PMA will assist the Contracting Officer Representatives, Agreement Officer Representative (AORs), alternate COR/AORs in the management of the higher education project. S/he will assist with oversight, management, implementation, direction, and reporting of project activities. The PA may also be called upon to provide technical and project management assistance for any other program in the Education Office.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: At a minimum, applicant must have the following: a. Completion of a Bachelors Degree, or the local equivalent, in political science, public administration, social science, international relations, project management or other related field is required. b. A minimum of five years of progressively responsible, professional-level experience in a team setting with budgeting, office management, and project management support is required. At least three years of experience in development work or a related field for US Government, other donor agencies, Host-Country organizations, or private-sector institutions is required. c. Level III English language proficiency, speaking and writing; Level IV (fluent) in Bahasa Indonesia is required. SELECTION CRITERIA: In addition to the above criteria relating to education, experience, and language proficiency, the following criteria will also be used to evaluate applicants: 1. Basic knowledge and understanding of the political, social, and cultural characteristics of Indonesia; general knowledge of development problems in Indonesia, especially in education, is desirable. 2. A high degree of computer literacy is required including, the ability to create and manipulate budget spreadsheets; maintain and manipulate databases; and utilize office technology for increased productivity and organization.
