Environment : AX 2012, SQL2008. Ajay Kumar as an AX Developer worked extensively on AX 6.0 Professional Services Automation project of sprint based on the following business functionalities:-

1. Contact lines: This feature provides the necessary infrastructure support to setup specific billing rules negotiated with the customer as part of the service delivery. At the time of billing the recorded costs are evaluated against the billing rules and an invoice is generated and presented to the customer in accordance with the billing rules established. 2. Resource scheduling: It is the efficient and effective deployment for an organization's resources when they are needed. It is a way of determining schedule dates on which activities should be performed. It helps in smoothing the demand for resources and avoids exceeding given capacities or availability.

3. Estimate billing: This feature provides the necessary infrastructure support to enable Prebilling, negotiated with the customer as part of service delivery contract. During the lifecycle of the project, resources working on the project will incur costs. At the time of billing the recorded costs consume the pre-billing amount until the entire pre-billing balance is generated and presented to the customer. 4. Indirect costs: This feature provides the necessary infrastructure support to define, calculate and apply indirect costs associated with labor transactions. To fully cost a project (and to be able to accurately determine project profitability) some companies include indirect costs associated with project they execute, in addition to the direct costs that are calculated from employee timesheets. Indirect costs are, by their nature, related to the direct costs from timesheets and therefore, are not created or processed on their own.

At the time of billing the customer/vendor, customer /vendor payment retention terms are evaluated and applied and an invoice is generated and presented to the customer/vendor in accordance with the customer/vendor payment retention terms. 8. Pay when paid: The pay when paid provision is most common in construction industry where this provision is used for risk sharing. The clause provides that the contractor will withhold all the payments to its subcontractor until it has been paid by the owner (the ultimate customer). This feature provides the necessary infrastructure support to define and execute Pay-when-paid (PwP) payment agreements negotiated with a vendor as part of a Time and Materials (T&M) service delivery contract.
