Free Title: Industrialisation Ever since the Industrial Revolution, industrialistion has become a buzzword of todays world.

In the past, daily commodities such as flour, sugars are difficult to be found and for some commodities, people will have to get it by themselves. However, the picture changes after the invention of machineries to catalyse the production of each commodity. Products such as canned foods and drinks are produced in a large scale. Even new products are formed through industrialization as the demand for them is skyrocketing. Industrialization has brought about many benefits for the industrialized countries. The first and the most obvious advantage is the increase in the countrys revenue. As there are a myriad of industrial products, part of them can be exported to other countries besides fulfilling the domestic market. This further catalyses the production of newer products which can penetrate the world market and make more profit. Industrialisation also attracts foreign investment and thus becoming an important factor for dramatic economic growth. Besides, it also changes the socio-economy of the industrialized region. By building more factories, people will be recruited and therefore reduces the unemployment. This also improve the per capital income of the society and their standard of living. So, undoubtedly, industrialization brings about a vast of benefits to the country especially the socio-economic growth. Industrialisation also plays a vital and pivotal role in the advancement of technologies. As massive production is required to meet the increasing demand for products ranging from food products, detergents to pure chemical, more sophisticated technologies are needed to improve the production rate and the efficiency of the industrial processes. Catalysis processes are being researched to find a better catalyst for every particular chemical processes, machineries are constantly being modified to provide a more systematic production. Chemical engineers, mechanical engineers and other professions are urgently needed to change the current picture. Thus, indirectly, industrialization also diverts the focus of universities around the globe to the more profitable industrial technology research. In short, there are a lot of benefits from industrialization to the country as well as the people. However, every boon has a bane. We cannot deny the adverse effects of industrial sector to the environment and public health. As greenhouse gases are constantly being released to the atmosphere, the global warming process is now deteriorating at an astonishing rate. Emission of toxic gases to the air also causes severe air pollution to the extent that it increases the number of asthma patients at an alarming rate and causes the public to start worrying about their health. The dumping of industrial wastage to the river also disrupts the marine ecosystem as the chemical substances are constantly harming the marine life. If we want to list down the environmental problems caused by industrial sector, there will be thousands and millions of them! Undeniably, industrialization has brought about a vast of advantages to the people, however, we should realize the importance to curb or at least minimize the damage to the Mother Nature. Pollutions have to be overcome before humans are too late to change the circumstances. Therefore, while we need to constantly enhance the industrial technologies to meet new demand, do think of their

harm to the environment. Only by achieving a balance between advancement and environment, human are able to live forever peacefully on this planet.
