understanding of different layers like RRC/RLC/MAC/L1 and inter-layer messaging - Experience in systems testing / development of UMTS/GERAN Protocol implementation on wireless platforms - Strong understanding of 3GPP specifications - Strong debugging capabilities both on Network and UE side. - Experience with TTCN/C/C++, Perl, shell scripting is a definite plus. - Exposure to UMTS test simulators like Anritsu, R&S, Racal, Anite is highly desirable
