CATTLE: Herd consists of (58) Holstein milk cows, (12) cows just recently fresh or within the last 30-60 days, (17) cows springing, bumping heavy calf or due within the next 30-60 days balance of the herd is bred back and due for year around freshening, (9) large type bred & springing heifers 16 mo. 2 yrs. old due for April-July freshening of which a few will be due at sale time (5) due in May. HERD FACTS: Majority of this herd is timed right for this dispersal. There will be a large majority of these cows just fresh or springing very close at sale time. Herd is all home raised, young herd majority of the herd is either 1st, 2nd or 3rd calf cows. These cows have nice high udders, with good feet and legs that show the right dairyness and type. Cows are raised in free stalls as heifers, loose housed, being switched, milked in a stanchion barn and left outside daily to a feed bunk. Herd has been bred artificial for the past 45 yrs. presently with Select Sires and Genex. Top registered Holstein bulls from Bruce Vande Zane, Waupun, WI and Brian Christensen, Colby, WI. Have been used for cleanup, this herd also does carry the red factor. Herd presently is on AG Source Testing for the past 45 yrs. of which the herd RHA is at: 20,967m, 3.7% 779f, 3.0%, 610 pro. with a SCC of 200,000. The herds 305 ME: 22,751m, 812f, 632 pro. 305 ME LACTATION AVG: 1st lact- 19 cows 21,464m, 772f, 598 pro., 2nd lact 19 cows 22,239m, 787f, 627 pro., 3rd lact 20 cows 24,454m, 875f, 668 pro., Herd presently is averaging 72 lbs. per cow being not pushed with no BGH used, TMR fed daily with just good home balanced forages used.
