I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, 75% of the pupils are expected to: a.

B. 1. Motivation Show pictures of corn, fish, man and decomposer. Prepare arrows for some purpose. Let the pupils connect the pictures with the use of arrows. The teacher will give follow up question in every step. (Food Chain) Show pictures of corn, fish, grasshopper, carabao, man, cat, snake, and decomposer. Prepare arrows for some purpose. 2. Presentation This morning we will tackle about the food chain and the food web.

3. Discussion Discuss the flow of food among living things in the environment as they affect each other. First with the food chain, discuss why they are called producers, first-order consumer, second-order consumer and decomposers. Also identify the producers, consumers and decomposers in the food web. Then see the difference between the two. Tackle also the importance of food to the community through asking questions. On the illustration that we have, what do you think is the producer? Why food chains always start from plants? How about the animals that feed directly or indirectly from plants, what do we call them? Based in our illustration, who do you think are the consumers? When the consumer died, what do you think will happen to its body? What do we call the organisms that bring about the decay of dead animals and plants? Why do you think food is very important to every living thing? What does it gives us?
