Welcome Respected Judge and teachers. Our project is about Renewable Energy.

Renewable energy is energy generated from natural resourcessuch as sunlight, wind, rain, tides and geothermal heat. Renewable energy is a type of energy that does not run
out even if it is exploited actively. Numerous constant natural processes replenish these energies. One of our major problems in our country is load shedding for which we aimed more towards electricity in our project.

There are many sources of renewable energy they are: Wind Power, Water Power, Solar Power, Biofuel. Geothermal Heat

We will explain now, only Wind power, Water Power and Solar power due to the shortage of time we will face.

Wind Power
Wind power is the conversion of wind energy into a useful form such as electricity, using Wind Turbines. These turbines are placed in large wind farms which are connected to an electrical grid which transports the electricity. In some isolated locations, windmills are used to pumping water and grinding grain. Structure: A modern wind turbine is 50meters tall. A strong concrete column supports and gives it its height. Above the 50m column is a rectangular Power block where energy is produced. And attached to it, are 3 propellor blades which can be adjusted to face the oncoming wind.(show). This is a wind Turbine. Here we donot have sufficient wind to move this propeller. So we are creating an artificial wind by this fan the wind produced by this fan hits the angled surfaces of the propellor blades and forces it to spin around. The speed of spinning depends on the speed of the Wind flow. The blades turn the hub which turns a shaft inside the nacelle-which is the capsule at the centre of the baldes. This turns a coil of a copper wire inside a magnet which induces an electric current. Then the electricity is transported via wires as we can see in these bulbs. As you can see, we have not connected the Wind turbine to any battery or any source of power, and these wires transfer the energy of spinning to the bulbs. This is real production of electricity. If we had a bigger wind turbine, We could have produced enough electricity for fans or tube lights.(show) Wind energy is also quiet cheap, as there are no fuel consumption and low maintenance costs. The main cost is the construction of the turbine. In our country Wind power is being harnessed in Coxs Bazaar. Drawbacks: The only drawback of wind power is that it requires a large land area to be built and the turbine construction is very costly. But Wind Power is the most friendly energy source.

Water Power
Energy in water can be harnessed and used. Since water is about 800 times denser than air, even a slow flowing stream of water, or moderate sea swell, can yield considerable amounts of energy. Karnafuli Hydro Power Station the only hydropower plant in our country is located at KAPTAI, about 50 km from the port city of CHITTAGONG.
Water power or Hydro power is power that is derived from the force of energy of moving water, which is harnessed for useful purposes I will now explain how a simple Hydro-electric motor generates electricity. As you can see, we have made a dam and attached a gear shaped wheel to it In the wheel there are numerous spikes or turbine blades that spin because when the water comes out of the dam,it hits the wheel and it is forced to spin around. The speed of spinning depends on the speed of the water flow. Here, as you can see are 2 more turbines that are spun due to the moving water. The spinning of these 3 motors produce electricity. Then the electricity is transported via wires as we can see in these bulbs.

Drawbacks: It requires great maintenance and time to be built. It requires a large area too and it needs constant maintenance.Water power is also a friendly energy source.

Solar energy
Solar energy refers to the use of the radiant energy from the Sun. It refers more specifically to the conversion of sunlight into electricity, either by photovoltaic or solar cells and concentrating solar thermal devices. Sunlight is made up of tiny packets of energy called photons.Every minute, enough of this energy reaches the Earth to meet the Earths Energy demand for a whole year.Photovoltaic panels consist of many cells. These are made of materials called Silicon, one of Earths most common elements. An individual cell is designedwith a positive and negetive layer to create an electrical field just like a battery.as the photons are absorbed into the cell, their energy causes electrons to become free. The electrons move towards the bottom of the cell and exit through the connecting wire. This flow of electrons are referred to as electricity. Roofs of houses could be installed with solar panels to produce electricity.

Nellis Solar Power Plant is the largest photovoltaic power plant in North America. We would like to conclude our speech here.I truly hope that our country's decision maker will take into account these solutions and put an end to the power crisis. Thank you,

We hope you liked our project.
