2P HD DECODER (INSTALLATION GUIDE)

How to Connect your 2P HD Decoder (DSTV) Equipment Required* 1X 2 Way IF Splitter (5-2150 MHz) 3X Cable or Fly lead (F-2-F) *Available at your local TV parts / service shop or ask Smart Village for a quote. Please complete the following steps: 1. Connect an F connecter fly lead to the satellite output on the wall outlet plate. 2. The other side of the fly lead gets connected to the input of the 2 Way IF Splitter. 3. The 2 Outputs of the 2 Way IF Splitter (2 fly leads) get connected to the 2 LNB Inputs on the back of the 2P HD Decoder. 4. Connect the yellow, white and red AV leads to the corresponding colours on the back of the HD decoder and into the corresponding coloured inputs on the TV (AV1), or preferably with the HDMI cable that comes with the HD decoder. 5. To watch TV select the AV1 or the HDMI input selection on the TV remote control. How to Program your HD Decoder (DStv) Please complete the following steps: 1. On the DStv remote control press Menu and scroll right to Advanced Options. Press OK. 2. Dish Installation should be highlighted; press OK, the code that you will need to enter is 9949. 3. Leave home network one as it is on IS7. 4. Then press P+ once, which will take you to the network 1 page. 5. Scroll right on the signal set up to change Disabled to Enabled. 6. Scroll down to Use Nit and scroll right until SMATV appears. 7. Scroll down to the Frequency line and key left until the numbers have cleared and then enter 11210. 8. Scroll down to Symbol Rate and key left to clear again and enter 30000. 9. Polarity should be Vertical and The FEC 5/6. 10. Press P+ to enter the network 2 page and repeat steps 7 to 10 but enter the frequency 11250, then press P+ to go to the network 3 page. 11. Again repeat steps 7 to 10, and enter the frequency 11290 and press P+. 12. In network 4 you will repeat steps 7 to 10, and enter the frequency 11330. Press P+. 13. In network 5 you will repeat steps 7 to 10, and enter the frequency 11370. 14. In network 6 you will repeat steps 7 to 10, and enter the frequency 11410 15. Now and only now do you press Ok to save the changes you have made. 16. Press the Ok button to enter the setup, and press the Yellow button to scan all enabled networks. 17. The decoder will scan to 90% and sit there for a while before it continues. 18. Once the decoder has finished the scan you press the OK button to view the channels. 19. After the decoder has rescanned, you will be able to watch DStv as normal with no further changes until Multichoice adds new transponders.
