ABOUT NABL
National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) is an autonomous body under the aegis of Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. NABL accreditation is recognition of the technical competence of a pathology laboratory according to ISO 15189:2007 Golwilkar Metropolis Health Services (I) Pvt. Ltd is the first NABL accredited laboratory in Pune since 2003, with inclusion of a very wide menu & techniques. With state-of the-art instrumentation supported by dedicated team of highly skilled laboratory professionals, the laboratory abides by all the stringent quality procedures and practices laid down by NABL in accordance with ISO 15189: 2007. GUIDELINES - OPERATIONS
Patient's demographics : Patient's full name (in capital letters), Age or date of birth, sex, date of receipt of sample are mandatory for all the tests. Incomplete information will lead to delay in processing. Reference : Mentioning of the name and contact number of the referring clinician and referral/collection center (with code number) will help us communicating regarding patients findings, whenever necessary. Tests & Methods : l Test requests out of the scope of DOS will not be accepted. l Mention the test code along with test/profile name. l A test service may be discontinued without prior intimation. l The methods of analysis may change without prior intimation. Schedule, Cut off time and Date of report: l It will be our endeavor to follow the test schedule enclosed and furnish the reports on the committed time. However, the delay may occur for rechecks or any other unavoidable circumstances. l On individual request or due to any other circumstances, changing of schedule will not be possible. l Test cut off time and schedule may change without notice. l All Tests are not carried out on Sundays and Holidays.
Serum or plasma must be separated before dispatch. Whole blood samples need to be sent in vacuum containers only. Do not use "Serum/Plasma vials" for whole blood. Request for analysis of insufficient, haemolysed, lipaemic, icteric, autolysed or poor quality samples will not be accepted.
B. Labeling : l Ensure the labels used stick well on to the container. l Strictly use ballpoint pen only to label to ensure permanent marking (not ink pen) l Furnish complete information on the label i.e. patient's name, sampling date, sample type and tests. C. Storage and packing: l Sample should be well capped, sealed and packed. l Use leak proof containers for body fluids, urine etc. l While collecting 24 hrs urine, container should be maintained at 2-8C

Additions, Alterations and Cancellations: l After the samples are handed over to the courier boys, the test cannot be changed, withheld or cancelled. l Tests meant for "walk in patients only" have been clearly indicated in DOS. Such test samples, if sent, will not be processed. l Unlabelled & incorrectly labeled samples will not be processed. Logistics: l Take special care while sending critical samples like tissues, products of conception, body fluids, pediatric samples, cord blood etc. l Pre alert to logistics department is requested before sending critical samples like products of conception. Test charges: 1. The prices are subject to change without prior notice. Billing: 1. A monthly bill statement will be sent during first week of every month. 2. Any discrepancy on the statement has to be clarified within 10 days of the receipt of the bill. 3. Please send us your statement of accounts, once in six months so that our books of accounts can be reconciled. Payments: 1. Please do not pay with samples on daily basis. 2. The payments are expected within 10 days of receipt of the bill. 3. All the payments are to be made by Cheque or DD favoring Golwilkar Metropolis Health Services (I) Pvt. Ltd. 4. We recommend avoiding cash payments. 5. Cash payments if any are to be made to the Golwilkar Metropolis representative bearing valid authority card only. 6. Please take an acknowledgement and signature of the Golwilkar Metropolis representative receiving cash, which can be produced in case of dispute. 7. Though we shall make sure to send the receipt of the payments, you are requested to pursue with accounts department in case the receipt is not obtained. 8. If the above payment guidelines are not followed, the owners of the risk (loss of money) will be on the referral center. 9. In case TDS is being deducted, issue a TDS certificate.
