An Administrators Prayer Oh God, my Father, You have called me to share in the responsibility of administering this great Institution.

Help me always remember that the work I do comes from you. Give me wisdom, clearness in my thinking, gentleness in my speaking and always love in my heart. Grant me the courage, the strength, and the energy I need to do my work well. Help me to be patient unreasonable demands. when people around me make

Teach me always to encourage and never to discourage those who are doing their best, even if that best is not very good. Guide me to walk, looking only at Jesus so that I may begin to see with His eyes, work with His hands and love with His heart. Make me ever aware that as one called to lead others, I am commissioned to serve. These I ask in the name of Jesus and through the intercession of Mary, our Mother. Amen. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must become your slave. For even I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others, and to give my life as a ransom for many.

Matthew 20: 26-28

SR. Francesca San Diego, SPC Vice Chancellor, Hospital Operations DLHSI Lord, our Good Shepherd and Great Teacher, we love and praise Your Most Holy Name! Lord, You called us to follow You who have lived a life of a great servant Teacher. Now, you have called us to share in this noble calling and service. We are called to serve. This divine calling is to be of service to Your presence. Lord, You have called us to serve with humility. For failing to acknowledge and live-out this divine calling, Lord, have mercy. We ask Your forgiveness in the many times that we forgot Your presence in our life and we fail to communicate your presence to our dear students, co-teachers, personnel/staff and administrators. Pardon us, O Lord, because we failed to see our teaching as a ministry, that is, a calling to a particular mission and service; and also in those times that we failed to incorporate the Christian values in our respective disciplines. Lord, reconcile us and call us, Your sinful servant teachers, again to live in Your holy presence. Please live in our hearts more than ever. Lord, You called us to serve with grateful hearts. Lord, thank You for gift of life. Thank You for the gift of each day. Each day is indeed an opportunity to respond to your calling which brings joy and meaning in our life. Thank You for the 100 years of Lasallian presence in the Philippines. Now, there are several Lasallian schools in the whole archipelago offering quality Christian education especially to our poor students. Thank You for all the faculty members who have been part of training the teachers in the different schools especially in the parish schools. Thank You for the health professionals of this institution who have served thousands of poor communities and individuals. All of these are made possible because of Your spirit-filled instrument. Thank you for the great works, teachings, and the very life of our

dear patron, St. John Baptist De La Salle. Your teachings, O Lord, were put into flesh by his exemplary life. Thank you, Lord, you have given us the opportunity to be agents of social transformation through Christian education. We are growing professionally and spiritually in facilitating, learning, playing, and praying with the students and with co-teachers. Lord, You called us to serve in the spirit of St. John Baptist De La Salle. Teach us, O Lord, to be God-loving teachers; whose lives are rooted in prayer just like SJBDLS who took recourse to prayer day and night. May we grow in our personal relationship with God. May we inspire one another to be part of the worshipping communities. May we accept in faith this calling and freely and joyfully respond based on moral obligation. May we be promoters of Christian values and Christian social teachings and incorporate it in the class discussions. Teach us, O Lord, to really become person-oriented teachers who according to SJBDLS must stood away from distance and formality. May we not only be facilitators of academic competence but teach us, O Lord, how to really touch their hearts and to exercise compassion at all times. Grace us with never-ending zeal in doing this mission. Teach us, O Lord, to really become patriotic teachers and teachers who promote life. Just like SJBDLS who treated every student equally and gave the poor children a good life, may we also exercise these values. May we extend our services to the community and to the whole nation. May we be Your instruments in producing patriotic health professionals. Help us to be like SJBDLS whose life was dedicated especially in training of lay teachers. Enlightened by the social teachings of the Church, may we grow in the spirit of communion, that is, to actively work with other institutions and groups who share the same advocacies in this great mission of transforming the society by poverty alleviation through Christian education. Lord, You called us to serve in the spirit of SJBDLS. Draw us closer to our less privilege brothers and sisters. May You bless our hearts and our lives to become faithful, committed, and true Christians teachers. We are with SJBDLS in this mission. Make us

one with him in professing to You and to all that - I am called to serve! I am called to serve a Christian teacher. This we pray in Jesus name. Amen. St. John Baptist De La Salle, pray for us. Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!

MR. LORENZO ALVIN CAPIO General Education Department Faculty DLSHSI

Lord Jesus I see you in the trees, in the sun, in the birth of every new morning, in the face of every young soul who comes to me for guidance, for experiences to pursue knowledge and know how, and in the face of my child who stares at me with the most unconditional love possible in this physical world. Lord, You have made me a woman so that I will have the incredible experience of being a mother and you have gifted me with a child who sees your love and ours his parents as the be and end of everything he sees. Every night, he closes his prayer

by asking you his lord Jesus to embrace everyone specially the "bad people" so that they would feel your love and thus stop doing bad things. And says thank you for the people in his life who love and care for him. I kneel before you in gratitude for this wonderful soul that you have entrusted on me and my husband. And kneeling, I implore the blessings of the Father through you my lord that everyday, I would be worthy of this gift and that we his parents would have the courage, strength of will, wisdom, faith and the love needed so that we could guide our child to your righteous path. Lord I believe that you have made us parents of this beautiful soul because you have called us to serve you by raising him surrounded by and showered with your love. You gave our child to us in his most beautiful form. When sick and in pain, he prays that you heal him and all the sick people in the universe because in his young mind he recognizes that he shares his pain with so many of your people and that your love and mercy are overflowing that he does not need it all for himself. To me, this is an expression of your generous and unconditional love. We joyfully and faithfully respond to your call Lord to rear this soul and keep him pure and in your grace in the midst of wordly concerns and interests.

MS. HAYDEE ABAYAN-SY Head, Institutional Communication Office DLSHSI

Dear God, We praise and thank you for giving us the wisdom and sending us the Holy Spirit as we study. May our passion of being of help to the sick, dying and needy will not burn out like the passion of St. John Baptist De La Salle. May you make our hands your instruments to heal, our eyes to see, our hearts listen and our hearts to feel the needs of our patients and may we only seek their betterment above anything else. Give us the strength to be of service even though at times we may feel tired and think of giving up. With your blessing and guidance, we will be soon health workers, working for your glory. This we ask thru your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
