the company
The company dates back to 1991 when Jrgen Schmitt purchased a small graphics business and set it on its path to become a market leader in KZN. With the founder having a MSc degree in Metallurgical Engineering and 20 years experience in the corporate sector (4 of these in technical development positions in the aluminium industry in Europe) the company has benefited from a highly experienced and technically qualified management. The top 5 management positions are filled with experienced staff with an average of over 10 years service with the company. The stability of the management team is also reflected in the total staff complement where the staff turnover is below 5% per annum. Ascot Sign is a Level 4 BEE company (Empowerdex certified) with staff owning 26% of the equity.
