Structural Test: The panel structural designs shall have been verified by witness Structural Tests for wind loads by the "Chamber Methods" as outlined in ASTM Specification E72. Side Joints: The side joints shall be concealed type covered by a roll-formed batten strip fastened on both sides with stainless steel pop rivets at 400 mm on center staggered. The panel side joints shall be of the male-female interlocking type having factory applied one continuous line of sealant at the female leg of the panel side joint. The sealant shall be non-dry non-skinning type. The male and female side joint of the panels shall be protected by the use of special craft paper foil in order to cover and seal all exposed edges of the foam core.

Air Infiltration: The side and end lap joints of the panels shall provide virtually no heat loss and no measurable air infiltration when tested by a recognized independent testing laboratory in accordance with ASTM E-283 (Test of rate of air leakage) with a static pressure difference of 5.0 psf to 20.0 psf. Water Penetration: The side of end lap joints of the panels shall provide virtually no water penetration when tested by a recognized independent testing laboratory in accordance with ASTM E-331 (Test of Water Penetration) with a static pressure difference of 5.0 psf to 20.0 psf. Condensation: The insulated foam panels shall have no air cavity between the foam and the metal skins to prevent any condensation within the panel system itself. The exterior and interior skins shall be bonded on the foam core throughout its surface. Fasteners: The panels shall be secured to the structural frame with C selftapping screws with combination washers. Flashings shall be installed stainless steel pop rivets as per manufacturer's standard practice. COATING SPECIFICATION FOR EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR METAL SKINS Substrate: Hot-dipped galvanized steel, minimized spangle conforming to British Standard Specification No. 2989-82 Type G275, with a minimum zinc coating weight 275 G/M2 both sides (Triple Spot Test). PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 A. EXAMINATION General: Inspect surfaces to receive work under this Section. The Contractor for work under this Section shall verify that all support members have been properly installed and are in alignment. Do not proceed with any work until defects, if any, are remedied. Commencement of work constitutes acceptance of conditions. INSTALLATION General: Install panels in accordance with the manufacturer's approved erection instructions and diagrams, except as specified otherwise. Panels shall be in full and firm contact with supports and with each other at side and end laps. Where panels are cut in the field, or where any of the factory applied coverings or coatings are abraded or damaged in handling or installation, they shall, after the necessary repairs have been made with material of the same type and color as the weather coating, be approved before being installed. All cut ends and edges, including those at openings through the sheets shall be sealed completely. Correct defects or errors in the materials in an approved manner. Replace materials which cannot be corrected in an approved manner with nondefective material. Provide molded closure strips where indicated and whenever sheets terminate with open ends after installation. Installation Tolerances: Shim and align panel units within installed tolerance of 6 mm in 609 mm (1/4 inch in 20 feet) on level/plumb/slope and location/line as indicated, and within 3 mm (1/8 inch) offset of adjoining faces and of alignment of matching profiles. Closures: Install prefabricated closures at top and bottom of siding panels in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. CLEANING AND PROTECTION Damage Units: Replace panels and other components of the work which have been damaged or have deteriorated beyond successful repair by means of finish touch-up or similar minor repair procedures. Cleaning: Upon completion of panel installation, clean finished surfaces as recommended by panel manufacturer.
