This guide is prepared for group Dakkodangos English translation of Eien no Aselia -Kono Daichi no Hate De-. Its information is based on multiple Japanese guides as well as our own experimentation. It is meant to be included together with the said patch, please do not post it on any other sites without permission. If you find an error in this guide, please drop a note on the forums at http://dakkodango.com/forums/ or contact echoMateria and Phlebas in #dakkodango@irc.synirc.net. The guide will be updated if need arises, for latest revision check the forums linked above. The guide will tell you the results of all choices in the games adventure stages, helping you to get to every possible ending in the game and, hopefully to every scene as well. However it will not give you much advice on how to beat the games strategy stages. Information regarding the strategy stages will mostly be limited to the results you can get based on your success and tracking important events like dragon, trainer and engineer appearances along their location information. Original mission titles in Japanese are also listed to make it possible to refer to Japanese guides. An Eien no Aselia - the Map of Phantasmagoria image is included together with the patch, which you can use as a reference to find the locations named in this guide. Main goal of this guide is to help you achieve the games endings with ease. We tried to write it as spoiler free as a guide can be, but you are warned, proceed at your own risk. Important details in this guide are color coded for tracking them easily. The guides first section, Introduction will give you information required to understand how to use this guide and how the games mechanics work in deciding the routes. The Love and Branching sections should give you enough understanding and information to get your desired route by yourself without needing to check every detail on the way. It is followed by an in-dept walkthrough for those who wish for more concrete assistance (note that you need to understand the aforementioned sectors in either case to achieve the desired results). After that you will find the extras section that covers all kinds of details about the game with bonuses like the games song lyrics and an FAQ section. Notes: Lines with underlines are links, use them for quick access. This guide is best viewed at Word 2007 or equivalent with the Chaucer and Century Gothic fonts installed, in which case it should look like this: >> http://i50.tinypic.com/2i0ud94.jpg

Endings
Eien no Aselia -Kono Daichi no Hate De- has eight endings. One for each of the games heroines; Aselia, Esperia, Orpha, Lesteena, Uruka, Kyouko, Tokimi and a bad ending. Additionally, there is a bonus ending scene that you unlock after seeing all seven good endings. In order to achieve a heroines ending you need to match specific conditions, which may include seeing certain scenes with that heroine, and satisfying certain Mind & Love requirements with the chosen heroine and/or protagonist Yuuto at certain points in the story.
Love
In Eien no Aselia, Love is used as a statistic that defines how much a heroine likes the protagonist Yuuto. Aside from making choices that would lead to scenes featuring a heroine you decided to focus on, you accumulate the Love Points chiefly by fighting together with that heroine. More accurately, for every enemy squad that you destroy with Yuuto, each heroine in that same squad gets Love+1. In other words, if you want to play safe in getting some route other than one of the three spirits that you have in your squad right from the start (Aselia, Esperia & Orpha), you want to avoid having them in the same squad with Yuuto as much as possible. For getting one of these girls routes, generally speaking just choose their respective options in script (even though not all are necessary for the route, they add to the routes as well as include CGs you might otherwise miss) and get enough Love Points by fighting together with them, while doing the opposite for the other two spirits. Unlike the Mind Points of a character, which can be seen from many windows, heroines accumulated Love Points are not displayed. But there is one place where you can estimate your progress. Heroines Love towards Yuuto is indicated in six stages by the changes of their portraits in their battle status screen. You can notice their faces starting uninterested or cold; and later as their Love increases, changing to a smile, blush etc.
Mind
In Eien no Aselia, Mind is used as a statistic that defines a characters mental stability and morale. Your choices in the adventure stages effects characters Minds as well, but the major changes to them come in the strategy stages. Mind management becomes increasingly crucial at higher levels and difficulties, so its good to understand what affects it. Aside from their relevance to the ending that you are going to get, Mind also affects a characters skills. The most basic factor is the Mind Effect value of used skills: this depends entirely on the person, though in general many attack skills and damaging support spells decrease Mind, and most defense skills and heals/auras increase it (for many characters its effective to swap them to defense for a while to regain their Mind). You should keep a close eye on the Mind modifier of new skills when considering their usefulness, since you may be stuck with them for a long time. Please note that this is only something you can do to your characters, there are no enemy skills that lower your Mind. List of factors in the strategy stages that effect characters Mind scores: -Killing an enemy gives the killing character Mind-1. -Losing the control of a village or town base gives Mind-20 to all your characters. -Capturing a village or town gives all members of the capturing squad Mind+4 to Mind+10 (depending on town or village). -Finding a Mana Crystal and releasing it gives your squad a total of Mind+30 divided between the squad members (a squad with three members will get Mind+10 each). -Slaying a dragon gives all your characters Mind+10 in normal difficulty, and up to Mind+20 on harder difficulties. -Finishing a mission gives you the more Mind the higher your clear rank (an SS rank always gives Mind+10 to Yuuto and all heroines), and an extra Mind+10 for your Ace in that mission.
Branching
Below you will find detailed information about how you can reach the endings of each of the games heroines. The conditions you need to satisfy and when the route you are in is decided, we call these decisive moments branching points. The game has two branching points. First branching point: Chapter III - The Visitors, 10th turn of Mission 14: Defend Ransa AseliaEsperiaOrphaLesteenaUruka routes have been decided by this point. At this first branching point youll see a specific event. For the most part, you can easily tell which ending you are headed for just by the heroine that this event features. Second branching point: Chapter IV - Desire and Oath, after Mission 21: Defeat Shun and rescue Kaori This branching point only matters on subsequent playthroughs, and only for Kyouko and Tokimi. If conditions for getting the endings of multiple heroines are achieved at the same time, you get the ending for the heroine with higher priority. The priority chart is as follows: Kyouko = Tokimi > Aselia > Esperia > Orpha > Lesteena > Uruka
Aselia Bluespirit
At the first branching point, Aselia must have Love 40 & Mind 20 or higher. On subsequent playthroughs, you must avoid picking at least one of the choices marked with a .
Esperia Greenspirit
You need to avoid triggering Aselia route. At the first branching point, Esperia must have Love 40 & Mind 40 or higher. On subsequent playthroughs, you must avoid picking at least one of the choices marked with a .
Oruphaliru Redspirit
You need to avoid triggering Aselia & Esperia routes. At the first branching point, Orpha must have Love 40 & Mind 40 or higher. In Chapter II, during the adventure stage after Mission 11: Capture Sardbart, you need to pick the choice Sure, I'll come and see the Hakute event. On subsequent playthroughs, you must avoid picking at least one of the choices marked with a .
On subsequent playthroughs, you must avoid picking at least one of the choices marked with a .
Uruka Blackspirit
You need to avoid triggering Aselia, Esperia, Orpha & Lesteena routes. On subsequent playthroughs, you must avoid picking at least one of the choices marked with a .
Misaki Kyouko
You must finish the game at least once before. You must pick every choice marked with a and , including their combinations. In Chapter III, after the duel at the very end of Mission 16: Capture the capital of Malorigan, Yuuto must have Mind 90 or higher. At the second branching point, Kyouko must have Mind 70 or higher (after mission completion bonuses). Until the second branching point, all sub-spirits have to survive the battle stages.
Kurahashi Tokimi
You must finish the game at least once before. You must pick every choice marked with a and , including their combinations. In Chapter III, after the duel at the very end of Mission 16: Capture the capital of Malorigan, Yuuto must have Mind 90 or more. At the second branching point, Kyouko must have Mind 69 or less (after mission completion bonuses). Until the second branching point, all sub-spirits have to survive the battle stages.
Bad' End
This is the ending you get if you miss all routes by failing one or more requirements for each.
A bad ending will not grant you a clear save. Meaning that you wont be able to play with your currently leveled characters again and it will not unlock the Kyouko and Tokimi routes.
Bonus' Ending
After seeing all seven of the good endings, youll also get an additional bonus ending scene.

Games strategy stages are divided into missions. These will be listed in tables in red as you can see below. Most of the missions reward you for completing them faster. Getting high ranks in these missions isnt particularly hard, apart from trying to get SS in your first playthrough, when your characters dont have many skills to act on. Missions original Japanese titles are also displayed at the bottom in case you want to check other sources.
It is recommended to skip briefing dialogues and other scenes that appear in similar fashion during mission stages with the left mouse button and not the enter buttons on your keyboard. Game is known to often randomly skip multiple lines of these dialogues otherwise. When you start the game with new characters, until the end of Mission 3: Destroy the Ancient Dragon Sadgaraham, it is a good idea to focus on training Yuuto and Aselia (or at the very least, not level Orpha). Otherwise the fight at that point might turn out to be a real challenge indeed. By moving to Water Dragon's Nest located at northwest of Rakios* before Mission 10: Capture Akirice you can hear a rumor about a dragon at that location. Required to fight it later on. During the 4th, 10th and 17th turns adventure events occur. The 10th turn event is specific to the route that you are in. [_] On the Mission 23: Eliminate all enemies from this world, a lot of Mana Crystals can be found. But since you wont be able to use the Mana that you will get by breaking them in any way, use them to restore your characters Minds instead.
What happens on that evil route that they removed, am I missing much? Yuuto gives in to his sword, turns evil and assaults all the girls in the game. Aside from a dozen sexual assault scenes, it doesnt contain any other material not present in this version. Can I install this patch on the original PC release, can you make it to work on that somehow? No. How is Seinarukana connected to Eien no Aselia? Seinarukana is one of the two sequels of Eien no Aselia, the other being Spitan. Describing more details about their connection would be a major spoiler for both games, so we'll refrain from that. Will I need to patch the game with official patches from Xuse? No, the English patch includes the up-to date Japanese patch as well. You should not install any patches apart from the English patch. Does this game work on Windows Vista, how about Windows 7? Tested to be working on 32 and 64 Bit XP, Vista, and Windows 7. Without the update, it doesn't work on pretty much any computer, though. But dont worry, our patch includes that update as well. My game has these weird lines of graphic glitch across the screen, why is that? When you play the game in windowed mode, it gets stretched and this causes some slight errors in some graphics on some systems (most noticable in peoples chins and skill & character descriptions). Switching to fullscreen fixes these errors. I see some mysterious dots on my battle dialogues, what are those? We noticed those show up on some systems, but found no way to get rid of them without degrading the font quality considerably. Why do all characters look fat and elipse-headed? This game is 4:3 and you have a widescreen monitor. Your displays built-in scaling is streching the game to fit your monitor screen. You should go to your display settings and set it to keep the aspect ratio. On Nvidia cards, this can be done from; NVIDIA Control Panel > Display > Adjust desktop size and position > Use NVIDIA scaling with fixed-aspect ratio. My patch is broken, when I started chapter one, chatbox started displaying strange characters and even character voices have gone weird. There is no problem with your patch, that is the result of the protagonists not understanding the spoken language. Are the savedata from Japanese version compatible with savedata from English version? At least if you've been playing the updated Japanese game, they should be fully compatible. I hear about some scenes that I havent seen. But I got all the endings, and even picked every choice. There are some scenes in various routes that youll only see under specific conditions, for instance Uruka route has 2 slightly separate epilogue scenes depending on whether certain people are alive or not, and Lesteena route has two unique scenes with Helion if youve seen her previous scenes. What is the purpose of the Total Mana (T.Mana), Bases and Total Turns counters on the strategy screen? Based on the total number of turns that you played, you can fight some dragons. Details about this is explained in the Dragons section. Otherwise, these three are just score counters. For example, Total Mana is the sum of all the mana invested in your characters' training, current buildings, and unused. What do these two values, Ether and Mana Use, that I see on characters' profile pages stand for?
On characters profile pages, Ether stands for the ether spent to train this unit so far, and Mana Use stands for the mana that you will gain by destroying a squad that has this unit in battle. Will I keep getting new skills on harder difficulties? Yes, but their amount slowly decreases after level 30. Even though most chars still gain their final skill(s) at around level 80, they get the bulk of their skills already well before level 60, so for instance it's not guaranteed you get a single new attack skill past say, level 50. Just how reduced are these skills marked with Reduced? Skills whose Mind requirements you dont meet work at half power. For instance Frenzy II with 1300 power would effectively be a 650 power skill, other functions would stay normal. Whats this 'Disabled' marker beside my skill? Skills in 'Disabled' state are unusable. How about this Limited skill marker, what was that again? You can only have one rank of any 'limited' skill at once - if you learn another rank, you can only either discard it, or overwrite your previous rank of the skill with it. I keep forgetting which dragon I beat or which mana crystal I got, help! There are slots ( [_] ) next to each entry on Mana Crystals & Dragons sections. You can use these to keep track ( [x] ) of the ones you got. Will Eternal skills stay permanently? Yes, but they will be unusable while the character is not an Eternal, effectively just consuming a skill slot. If you dont know what an Eternal is, dont worry about it at the moment. How do stat bonuses (attack, def, resist) from skills work? They give a flat bonus, so they're more useful earlier on in the game; though, 1 point of elemental bonuses effectively equals a 1% boost in damage. I Ether Jumped to this town that you said a dragon sighting/mana crystal is supposed to be in, but nothing is here. Is your information wrong? The game doesnt register jumping as moving into that town for these events. You can try going in and out of the formation screen to see if it will trigger, if it still doesnt you need to move out of the town and move back in. I noticed that Attack, Defense and Resist are capped at 500. Can bonuses go over this limit? Yes. I understand the Attack, Defense and Resist modifiers of the skills but what about Actions? Skills that modify a characters Actions increase/decrease the number of times the target can use all assigned skills during this battle. Since Actions (listed as A on skill windows) defines how many times that skill will be used in this battle, changing that value is a considerably powerful tool. For example, Ether Sink I can be used to make a defender defenceless. How do elemental attacks compare to physical ones? The short of it is, elemental attacks deal double damage for the part which gets past enemy defenses, modified by enemy resistance. Check Formula section for details. Training one unit/per squad is such a drag, is there a way to train my units faster? You can go back to Rakios, move all your sub-spirits to reserve, separate the original four characters to one character/per squad, and level all your units at once. If you are rich enough, that is...
Do you get extra mana by capturing towns during the mission, even though you automatically possess them after winning the mission? Yes, you dont get the capture bonus from towns if you dont capture them during your mission. What does Trusscade mean, what language is that? We have have some guesses, but no solid leads. Its written as and pronounced something like /traski:do/. This skill's description doesn't seem to match what it does. Is the translation wrong? Same skill descriptions are used for multiple ranks and versions of the skill on different characters, and in some cases their descriptions may be incorrect. Pay attention to the icons on the left for specifics on their effects.
attack: 'Attack' value of character. attackmod: bonus (or reduction) from skills such as 'Inspire' basemod: bonus from terrain and buildings skillpower: 'Power' value of the skill elementmod: element modifier from terrain and skills defense: 'Defense' value of character defensemod: bonus (or reduction) from skills such as 'Wind Whisper' resist: 'Resist' value of character resistmod: bonus (or reduction) from skills such as 'Resist' Note: element bonuses only affect the attack skills, not the defense skills. An example: In this battle, Aselia has 121% Attack (Lv5). Yuuto cast an Inspire I which gave her a 50%. boost on attack. She doesnt get effected by the terrains attack & defense modifiers, since she is on the attacking side. She is using Leap Attack II, which has 480 Power. This skill hits for physical damage, so it doesnt get elemental attack bonuses. Regular Attack Damage: (121 + 50) (100 + 0) 480 / 10000 = 820 Her opponent, a Datsi Soldier, has 94% Defense. She doesnt have any spells helping her. She gets a +10 bonus on her defense from the terrain. She is using a Mind Shield III, which has 100 Power. Regular Damage Blocked: (94 + 0) (100 + 10) 100 / 10000 = 103 As a result, each of Aselias attacks will cause 717 damage to this Datsi Soldier. Total Damage: (820 - 103) = 717

Kauto Kuminet is the highest rank for all sub-spirits, and to get this class you must choose to view their respective scenes in the story. This rank gives them a considerable stat boost the next time you level them up. So do this before reaching level99 with them.
Please note that these titles are purely cosmetic and dont have any role in battles (apart from a 1-time stat boost as you class up) or story progression, but the Mind requirement that you fulfill to get these titles affects a lot of things.

Song Lyrics
PC Opening
Eien no Aselia
I look down upon the city as it burns with violet smoke, and swear to the sounds of the myriad raindrops.
Don't ever let go of my hand. The unfulfilled dream that resonates hot through my chest changes its form and rains down from beyond the flow of time. My wavering feelings that I can't hold back even if I try are like endlessly approaching waves. What are these shaking eyes that won't close even if I try staring at within that aimless confusion? What... am I fighting for? Like sand flowing from a crumbling bowl, my unfulfilled feelings only grow stronger. They spill out as though predestined, slipping through my fingers. The fleeting wish carved crimson into my arm
lights up the night sky to be swallowed up by the light and shadow. The pure words that I can't communicate even if I try wander about the limited horizon. I keep searching for the untied threads that I can't count even if I try within this limited eternity. My wavering feelings that I can't hold back even if I try are like endlessly approaching waves. What are these shaking eyes that won't close even if I try staring at within that aimless confusion?
PS2 Opening
'Forever', the word I've heard so often
Hallelujah
Forever
sometimes drives people to madness. Forever Forever, transient dreams waver on the water's surface, drifting with nowhere to go. Red, blazing hot feelings sometimes wound other people. Eventually, the battlefield will be stained
by the crimson moon, illuminating the night. Nameless flowers turn into roots, lamenting the sadness of nameless people Fallen flowers turn to buds reminding me of the transientness of fallen people. ? Do you remember those bygone days? Even now, I will never forget them. It's raining in the still of the night at first light to be a memories but don't lose grip on the dream of special so long as I live, never say goodbye I'll return in your heart.
Ending
My wounds of grief have yet to heal.
I hide the tears in my downturned eyes. As those vivid days (lives) now fade away, fleeting, I gently embrace that smile that still survives in my memories and quietly go to sleep. The destination I'm walking to is endlessly afar. But, I face the shining light (hope) ahead. Open your tightly clenched fists and accept me.
and quietly pray. Unchanging, at the end of this earth, may I find the eternal promise I've been searching for... At the end of this earth, from whence there is no return, may I continue to protect this eternal peace...

Misaki Kyouko
The first thing I remember was his scowling face. The boy who had just moved nearby. I finally invited him to play, but he didn't seem happy at all, and that pissed me off. So, I dragged both him and Kouin from one place to another. We played...... and played...... Before I realized it, we were closer than anyone. Somehow, I knew that it couldn't continue forever, but those happy days still went on. It should have been unthinkable that they would come to an end.
Kurahashi Tokimi
The first time I truly saw was when I picked up Prophecy. All of the time I couldn't see before. All of the people I couldn't see before. It was the moment that new possibilities were opened to me. Of the things I saw, the thing that most captured my interest was him. My soulmate, born far in the future. No matter what fight I was fighting, I never forgot him. His birth, and his maturity. I watched my destined partner grow up. He overcame sadness, and slowly built important relationships. I was happy to see him shaping his own happiness, even though I knew that those days would end.
The End
