ONLINE HOSTEL MANAGEMENT

The online hostel management software aims to facilitate the students and the administration for carrying out hostel activities in a smoother and efficient manner. The student first has to register himself for hostel allotment where he needs to fill in the following detailsFORM1Name, branch, section, year, photo(uploaded), fee receipt number, phone number, email address, user name,password, fathers detail(name, address, phone number and signature(uploaded)), local guardians detail(name, address, phone number and signature(uploaded)) signature of student(uploaded), temporary address, permanent address, 2 residential phone numbers. FORM2Hobbies, interests, achievements, school of passing 10th and 12th etc.(all to be visible during social networking with other student details of FORM1) ADMINISTRATOR The administrator logs in through his email id and password. The request made by all the students is displayed to the administrator. The administrator holds the right to either accept or reject the request made for hostel allotment. If he approves a student, a room number gets allocated to the student automatically(each room capacity is 3 students). Once the student has been approved, he can use his user name and password to login to this website.A welcome page is displayed to the student where he has the following online facilities-

1- Hostel Leaving Form

The student fills the form which requires the following detailsName, redg no, room no., date of departure, date of arrival, purpose of leave, parents signature with address and phone number, students signature. 2- Guest Room RequestRegd no, room no, name of guest, relation with guest, date of arrival, date of departure. 3- Hostel EvacuationRegd no, room no, date of evacuation, reason for evacuation, signature of student, signature of parents. Note- evacuation will be confirmed on all hostel due clearance (verified manuallyby the administrator).

4- Complaint BoxRegd no, room no, complaint. 5- Wifi Request Regd no., room no, Ip address. 6- Chat VillaIts a social networking facility provided within the hostel for better interactivity within the students of the hostel. The facility includesStudent profile(visible to all), chat option, messaging facility, writing on walls of a students, uploading photos and comments, deleting/editing options, search student options. ADMINISTRATOR Notices, mess menus, about us(hostel) and contact us(hostel wardens detail ) are to be visible to all the students and will be operated/edited by the administrator. NOTE- 1- All the forms include form validation through java script. 2- All the above facilities need the administrators approval. 3-The administrator replies to a particular student through email. 4-The administrator can view all the different types of requests made and has the option to delete the requests as and when required. 5-The software is to be developed using adv. Java and oracle with eclipse application development kit and tomcat server.
