ABSTRACT
In this project we are mainly controlling a toy car by hand gesture movement. The heart of the circuit is the accelerometer. An accelerometer is a device that measures proper acceleration also called the four acceleration. This is not necessarily as co-ordinate acceleration (change of velocity of the device in three-dimensional space),but is rather the type of acceleration associated with the phenomenon of weight experienced by a test mass that resides in the frame of reference of the accelerometer device. Here the acceleration of the hand is being sensed.

The movement of the hand is converted by the accelerometer into relative acceleration which is given to ADC pin of PIC microcontroller and it is later transmitted by the XBee transmitter The XBee module in the receiver section receives the signal that is transmitted from XBee module in the transmitter side .The XBee module is connected to the PIC microcontroller. The driver IC is enabled from the PIC. According to the signal, that is received on the PIC, the driver IC drives the DC motors, such that the motor rotates in a particular direction, resulting in the intended direction of motion of the car (forward, backward, left and right), which further depends on the signal/values that is received by the XBee receiver module.
