BUDGETARY OFFER FOR REPLACING AND COMMISSIONING OF 14 DIA PUNCTURED PORTION OF FIRE FIGHTING LINE FROM NEW PUMP HOUSE TO FORESHORE TERMINAL IN OIL JETTY. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION SCHEDULE A GENERAL The Trust has proposed to replace and commissioning 14 dia cement coated punctured portion of fire fighting line about 12 Mtrs. long in between New Pump House to Foreshore Terminal as per the detailed specifications and drawings enclosed. The work involves procurement of materials viz. cutting, fabrication, laying, aligning, welding and cement coating of 14 dia pipes as per the detailed specifications. SCOPE OF WORK: 1) The firm shall fabricate, welding and cement coating of 14 dia 1 No. 90 mitre bend, 1 No. 14 dia 45 / 60 mitre bend with Trust supplied pipes. 2) The firm shall remove 2 Nos. existing gate valves of size 14 dia from the existing line and provide 1 No. 14 dia new fabricated and cement coated spool piece of length 380 mm long and 1 No. 14 dia MS dummy flange with new gaskets, HT bolts and nuts in the place of respective portion. 3) The firm shall inter connect the 14 dia newly fabricated cement coated pipe line with Bends and Tee connection of about 12 Mtrs. long from the existing 16 dia cement coated Tower Monitor Line (towards BD III) to 14 dia existing tower monitor line (Towards FST) as shown in the drawing enclosed. Note : Necessary 14 dia Steel pipes will be supplied by the Trust. 4) The firm shall supply 14 dia M.S. dummy flange - 1 No., 14 dia M.S.Flanges 6 Nos. as per ANSI B16.10 of Class 150 STD, H.T. Bolts and Nuts of size M22 x 110 Long 84 Nos. and 14 dia metallic gaskets with 3 mm thick, etc. for the above work.

The firm shall provide 1 No. 14 dia gate valve in the newly fabricated inter connection line (Towards FST) with necessary gaskets, HT Bolts and Nuts, etc. as shown in the drawing enclosed. Note : The 14 dia gate valve will be supplied by the Trust

The firm shall provide 1 No. 14 dia gate valve in the existing tower monitor line (Towards BD III) with necessary gaskets and HT Bolts and Nuts as shown in the drawing enclosed.

All the removed materials shall be shifted to NPH Area. All the renewed portions shall be painted by 2 coats of epoxy primer to a thickness of not less than 40 Microns for each coat and apply 2 coats of epoxy post office red to a thickness of not less than 60 microns for each coat.

SCOPE OF TRUST 1) The Trust will spare the required 14 dia steel pipes and 14 dia gate valves for the above work. (2 Nos. of 14 dia gate valves removed from existing pipeline). 2) The Trust will spare fresh water for cement coating the pipes at free of cost.

SCOPE OF CONTRACTOR 1) The firm shall arrange required lifting equipments, welding transformer and accessories, Hand tools, consumables like gas, welding electrodes etc. 2) The firm shall arrange required civil materials for cement coating of the pipes and bends. 3) The firm shall carry out the cement coating of pipes not less than 15 mm thick and provide necessary wire mesh and properly curing the cement coated pipes before laying. 4) 5) The firm shall supply the required paints and thinner. The firm shall supply the required fasteners and gaskets for the above work.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1) The firm shall submit their offers as per the enclosed Schedule A1 schedule of quantities. 2) The firm shall inspect the site and acquaint themselves of the working area before quoting. 3) The firm shall ensure that no damage occurs to the pedestal or to the adjoining pipe lines by any manners and for consequent damage to other adjacent pipelines, Liability of the same will be levied on the contractor. 4) 5) The firm shall arrange necessary essential entry permit for their workers. The firm shall provide all the personal protective equipments like Shoes, Safety helmets, etc., to their employees while at work. POWER SUPPLY The Trust will arrange to provide one three phase power supply at free of cost and power for welding, grinding, etc. The power consumed will be charged at the prevailing Trusts rate. COMPLETION PERIOD 1) The pre-fabrication and cement coating works shall be completed within 15 days from the date of handing over of the pipes. 2) After completion of prefabrication and cement coating, removal, repairing, replacing and commissioning of fire fighting line shall be completed within 15 Allotted / Non shipment days. GUARANTEE PERIOD The work shall be guaranteed for 12 Months from the date of acceptance of work.
