Profile Im an enthusiastic and patient person who enjoys working individually or as part of a team. In my spare time I enjoy boxing, reading, philosophy in which I have recently completed a Bachelors Degree - and meeting new people. I like to create personal challenges for myself to broaden my experiences in work and my personal life, and I feel that I have a genuine aptitude for problem solving. One of the biggest challenges I met was the Duke of Edinburgh Award. I have now completed the bronze, silver and gold stages. To accomplish this I had to do 3 expeditions and also take part in a community service, hobby and sport. To fulfil my community service I volunteered each week at an after school club in a primary school. My role was to plan activities for the children and to also take part in those planned by my co-workers, an experience which I found incredibly rewarding. My most recent employment role requires me to handle calls, deal with clients in a calm and discrete manner, and to enter information into the central database, a task that must be completed with speed and accuracy. Previous employment, including library work, has left me with strong organisational skills. Work History May 2005 I completed 2 weeks of work experience in a Nursery in a London primary school. February 2007 September 2008 I worked part time for a Waitrose Food & Home branch at Canary Wharf. The first 5 months involved working on the tills, after which I was transferred to the Toys & Nursery department where I was given more responsibility and worked on a more personal level with the customers. June 2009 I worked for an Estate Agents doing leafleting and other various promotional jobs. June 2010 I volunteered as a librarian in a primary school. The school had just started using a scanning system in the library so that the children could take books out of the library and to make it easier to keep track of what books had been taken out. My role was to catalogue all of the books in the library under individual barcodes so that the new system could get going. June July 2010 I worked as a street fundraiser for the charity St Mungos, this involved meeting people in the street and asking them if they would be willing to give donations. This job involved a high amount of confidence and a positive attitude, and mostly it was important to be able to work as part of a team in order to reach the teams daily target. August 2010 I worked at a very busy bar at summer festivals in London. June 2011 March 2012 I previously worked for a nationwide debt recovery agency. My role involved speaking to customers over the phone about sensitive matters, handling large amounts of money and proposing solutions and advice with regards to their situation. What started as a temporary role quickly became a permanent position after I scored the highest in my team.
