Sponsorship Agreement, Mothers Weekend 2012 REQUEST OF SPONSORSHIP
For the successful operation of the 2012 Mothers Weekend for Sigma Pi Fraternity, the Fraternity humbly requests the assistance of your business in our endeavors by sponsoring a portion of our event(s). We believe this to not only be of benefit to us but, via promotion of your business by our membership and/or individuals employed by your business, of benefit to you. Promotion of your organization may be performed during, but not limited to: a campus-wide event, lunch midday during the weekend at the K-State Student Union, dinner within or catered by local restaurants, and media releases which may follow the event. We hope that you will consider our request and may contribute to the success of our event.

SUGGESTED BENEFITS FOR SPONSORS

The following benefits are viewed to be most befitting for organizations that choose to sponsor the event: Naming rights for a given time period within the duration of the weekend Use of logos, images or trademarks of sponsoring organization during event(s) being sponsored Sponsor input into choice of venue and timing of event(s) being sponsored Posting sponsoring organizations promotional material during event(s) being sponsored Participation in the event(s) being sponsored by sponsors employees, shareholders Inclusion of sponsors (nominally) in all media releases and other media contacts that may follow events Opportunity for sponsor to provide prizes and/or auction items for further promotion of sponsoring organization

Sponsorship Agreement, Mothers Weekend 2012 TERMS OF AGREEMENT
DATE: BETWEEN: _________________________ _______________________________________ (Sponsor) Sigma Pi Fraternity, Iota-Alpha Chapter (Sponsee)

1. The sponsorship will be for the period of Friday, March 31st to Sunday, April 1st. 2. The sponsee agrees to grant the sponsor the following sponsorship rights (benefits):

3. The sponsor agrees to provide the following for the sponsee:

4. The rights of either party under this agreement shall not be transferable or assignable either in whole or in part. 5. It is agreed if a renegotiation of terms becomes necessary, the proposing party will automatically invite the other party to renegotiate the agreement in a timely fashion. 6. In the event that one party is unable to carry out its obligations under this agreement due to circumstances beyond the partys control or those which could not have been reasonably prevented (i.e. force majeure), those obligations are suspended whilst hindrances continue, provided the other party is promptly notified and the disadvantaged party provides best efforts to overcome the disadvantages. 7. In the event of a dispute arising that the aforementioned parties cannot resolve, both parties agree to refer the matter to an independent arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement. 8. If the parties cannot agree on alternative dispute resolution, or both parties do not agree with the decision of the appointed arbitrator, the agreement may be terminated in the following manner:

a. If a breach of contract could be rectified, then the non-breaching party may request in writing that the breach be rectified within 14 days of the breach. If the breach is not rectified within that time, the non-breaching party may terminate the Agreement immediately;

Terms of Agreement b. If the breach is one that cannot be rectified, the non-breaching party may terminate the Agreement by giving 14 days written notice of their intention to terminate; c. If both parties determine that the established agreement is no longer necessary, a mutual termination of the Agreement may immediately occur. d. Following termination, each partys rights and liabilities toward one another shall cease immediately. The termination, though, shall not affect a partys rights within this Agreement in which the termination arises out of a breach of contract by the other party.
9. Each party shall indemnify the other against any claims arising from any breach of the agreement by either party. 10. The terms and conditions of this agreement shall not be disclosed to any third parties without the prior written consent of both parties.
