About Compact
Calendar

I use this calendar template for project estimating. It's compact,

easy to print, and most importantly allows me to visualize time as
blocks.

Using the Calendar I usually just circle the starting dates of a task, then run a line out to
the right side where I can make a note as to what it is. With the
amount of whitespace available on the right, there's plenty of room
to leave notes. After I'm done, I then either make a clean version
with another sheet of paper, or type up the dates right on a copy of
this spreadsheet
Printing Partial
Calendars

For small projects, I don't usually need the entire calendar, so I just
select the rows I need then PRINT SELECTION from the print
dialog. The headers/footers are set up so that it "prints clean" with
the legends. Works great!

Change the Date

If you need to change the year, just update the DATE cell in the
upper right corner of the calendar header; the rest of the calendar
should automatically be calculated and updated.

Adding Holidays

The 'Tables' worksheet tab has a list of holidays that you can
change. The capability for calculating holidays automatically have
been added; please study the formulas to see how it works.

Customizing Days

If you don't like the use of R for Thursday, change the WEEKDAY
TABLE on the 'Tables' worksheet.
