Countless busy hands have shaped, ground, polished, set, enamelled and inspected before a jewellery idea becomes a faultless Pierre Lang piece of jewellery. HIGH QUALITY GOLD/RHODIUM PLATING Gold/rhodium plating is of the utmost importance for the quality of fashion jewellery. Pierre Lang jewellery is gold/rhodium plated at one of Europes longest, most modern electroplating shops. The electronic control system guarantees the faultless regularity of the gold/rhodium plating. THE HARDEST STONES Zirconia, a manmade stone of the very highest quality, is similar to diamond by virtue of its properties. Thanks to a technique specially developed by our research department, Zirconia can be cast directly into the metal. OUTSTANDING COMPATIBILITY Pierre Lang uses only selected and particularly compatible materials for its manufacturing process. Pierre Lang jewellery is guaranteed free of nickel allergens since 1992. Allergic reactions to nickel are generally excluded when wearing Pierre Lang jewellery. RESEARCH ON BEHALF OF OUR CUSTOMERS Whether its completely new fastenings or the quest for new metal alloys, the Pierre Lang Research & Development department is always looking for new, better solutions for our customers. QUALITY CONTROL The most important foundation for the quality of the nished items of jewellery is the uncompromising search for perfection in all areas, from design to nal inspection. Stringent quality checks are conducted after every work stage. State of the art technical instruments are also used to verify the gold/rhodium plating. Each individual piece is subjected to a careful nal inspection before being packaged. JEWELLERY CARE Just like genuine jewellery, costume jewellery requires gentle treatment and care. Wearing your piece of jewellery: Perfumes, hair spray and creams should always be applied, and have been worked into the skin properly, before jewellery is put on. Cleaning: Immerse the jewellery in lukewarm water with a dash of baby shampoo or mild soap, clean it carefully and rinse in clear water. Then dry it immediately with a soft cloth or kitchen roll. The jewellery can also be wiped with a special jewellery cleaning cloth. In cases of severe staining, wet a corner of the cleaning cloth. Pierced earrings should be cleaned as often as possible, using nonirritant alcohol pads or a special disinfectant available from chemists. Antique nish gold plated jewellery should not be cleaned in a sonic wave bath or with a toothbrush. SAFEKEEPING Your jewellery is best kept either individually, in its original box, or in a jewellery case. Alternatively, it can be wrapped in a soft cloth. When should jewellery be removed? Jewellery should be taken off at night, when showering or bathing, and before housework or gardening. Pearls: Pearls require particularly gentle care to ensure the delicate faux pearl coating is not damaged. Hair spray, perfume or sea water can easily cause the lustrous surface to become dull. Pearls should be cleaned as often as possible by rolling them in a soft, damp cloth, but should not be immersed in water. Ribbon of rubber: The ribbon of rubber can be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth.

RING SIZE MARKING Due to the varying hallmarking regulations prevailing in different countries, our rings carry a new kind of size marking. Instead of the Arabic numerals [1 to 13] used to date, rings now have Roman numerals [I to XIII]. YOUR RING SIZE Pierre Lang uses an international ring sizing system. It's very easy to determine your ring size yourself using the circles printed here. Simply place a ring that fits you well on a circle that is roughly the same size. If you can just see the line of the circle inside the ring, the number in the middle of the circle corresponds to your ring size.
