Prerequisites To install ASR software, you will need: Access to My Oracle Support Association with appropriate Customer Support Identifier Current and correct contract information Secure internet access (https) Qualified Sun hardware Technical contact ASR Installation Overview
Do you have an Oracle Premium Support or Warranty Contract? Login to My Oracle Support Download and Install ASR Software See ASR Manager below Yes

Login to My Oracle Support

No Contact your Oracle Account representative

Verify Assets Click Settings tab Click Assets under Administrative section Verify asset information is correct

Approve ASR Manager and Asset Activations Click Settings tab Click Pending ASR Activations under Administrative section Enable ASR Assets

Configure and Activate ASR Assets See ASR Assets below

Identify Qualified Hardware

ASR Manager
Specify and assess an ASR Manager Update, as needed: Oracle Linux Solaris Java Identify, confirm network connections ASR Manager also an ASR Asset? Yes No Download, install Services Tools Bundle (STB) Solaris 10 Register ASR Manager Run asr register Note: An ASR Manager can be activated as an ASR Asset, if it is qualified for ASR and entitled to service. See ASR Assets section below.

Select ASR Manager from Qualified Hardware

No ASR Manager runs Solaris 11? Download, install ASR and OASM packages

Check Registration Status To check status, run: asr show_reg_status

Yes

ASR Assets
Select ASR Assets from Qualified Hardware Update, as needed: Oracle Linux Solaris Java ASR Asset runs Solaris? Yes Download, install Services Tools Bundle (STB) Solaris 11 and 10 ASR Assets No Set up, configure telemetry sources

Activate ASR Assets On the ASR Manager, run: asr activate_asset

ASR Asset runs Solaris 11? No Retrieve the ASR Asset Bundle from ASR Manager

Yes

ILOM Solaris 10/11 FMA OHMP M-Series XSCF

Identify, confirm network connections

Copy the ASR Asset Bundle to specified assets Solaris 10 Assets

Login to My Oracle Support and approve ASR Asset activations
