Burgos, Quezon ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ENGLISH SY 2011 2012 I. INTRODUCTION English is a universal language thus every individual must be wellequipped in communicating using this language to communicate with various groups of people. Thus, learning involves. Learning is a continuous process wherein individual should not stop in acquiring new knowledge. The knowledge acquired must be treasured and must be used in abridging the gap of illiteracies. It is therefore the role of English teacher to keep abreast with the fast hanging demands of the learners.
II. STUDENTS DEVELOPMENT

1. The students were encouraged to participate in English Club

Organization. Students were asked to choose in organization where they want to belong and elect their set of officers. They also encouraged participating in the programs of the students overall organization. 2. Reading inventory and assessment of students reading and comprehension skills was made through PhilIRRI. Individual summary of the reading progress was prepared and attention was given to the students with poor comprehension skill as well as non readers. 3. The students were encouraged to use their free time in reading different reference materials in the temporary reading center in the school campus.

4. Students participated in Cluster Quiz Bee held in Elias Salvador National High School.

III. STAFF DEVELOPMENT


1. Teachers choose activities which are relevant to community

situations and students needs.


2. The English teacher attended TEACHING ENGLISH THROUGH

UBD sponsored by Deped, Quezon held at Quezon National High School last October 27 29, 2011. IV. RECOMMENDATIONS 1. More seminars and workshops for English teachers. 2. Continuing professional growth through readings and graduate studies. 3. Additional reading, references and instructional materials.
