I hope you had a wonderful summer and that you are looking forward to a great school year. My name is Lisa Barnhart, and I am very pleased to be the 3A teacher again. I would like to welcome all of my new students and their parents. I am looking forward to working with all of you this year. The first few weeks of school are always a big adjustment for students. There are many new things to learn so please make sure that they get to bed early. This will help them get into a routine. It will also help them to be more productive while they are at school, as we will be doing many new and different activities throughout the school day.

Technology Corner
Seoul International Elementary School understands that the rapidly changing world requires students to develop new skills of information literacy and experience enriched real world challenges as an integral component of their learning. Knowing this, we are committed to providing our students with access to the technological tools that they will need to be skilled problem solvers. We will strive to ensure that all students will achieve the standards listed by the National Educational Technology Standard (NETS) and every student will demonstrate competency in computer applications. This year our teachers and students will have access to a mobile iPad Lab, a Computer Lab, a Library Lab, and a Computer drop-in Lab. Each classroom and all labs are equipped with a digital projector and wireless Internet access. Technology skills are taught and integrated into the current lessons or projects. A Technology Specialist, Ms. Judy Havens, will be supporting students and teachers. Technology is viewed as a tool that enhances and supports teaching and learning. It adds excitement and another dimension to our strong standards based curriculum.
