The European Commission has declared 2012 as the European Year of Active Ageing and Intergenerational Solidarity. During this thematic year particular emphasis will be placed on the role of senior and elderly citizens in society. The Age on Stage Conference will provide an ideal platform for target groups and stakeholders to discuss not only important topics regarding active ageing, but also to gain information about 30 selected best practice projects concerning later learning.
Target groups
The target groups of the conference are senior learners, people working with seniors, researchers, trainers and adult educators plus people interested in European cooperation projects.
Working methods
By means of a number of thematic workshops and key notes, different aspects of learning in later life will be discussed and how they are being supported by EU funded projects and their outcomes. The conference will also be accompanied by a large project exhibition, allowing 30 selected best practice projects to be showcased. Furthermore networking opportunities will be promoted.
