Cesia Aguilar English Essay

I completely disagree with and oppose evolution for the following reasons; 1) It is a theory which cannot be proven, 2) it completely contradicts the Bible, archaeology, and true science, and 3) it provides no hope or purpose for mankind. The theory of evolution is just that-a theory. No missing links have ever been found to prove it true. No one was there to see it happen, and it cannot be seen or observed in the world today! If you ask me, it takes much more faith to believe in evolution than it takes to believe in creation. The Biblical account of creation declares a Supreme Being who created the universe and man along with it (according to His image!) for a purpose-to glorify Him. Evolution says that we evolved from one-celled organisms, but where did those organisms come from? They CANNOT SAY. Evolution completely contradicts the Bible, archaeology, and all things truly scientific. Whereas the Bible says we were all created perfect and in Gods own image, evolution drags us down to the level of animals! According to Darwin we all evolved from apes. I dont know about you, but I would much rather think of myself as having been created in Gods image with love and care, than to think that we have evolved from monkeys. According to archaeological finds, the Bible has been proven true 55,000 times! Where the Bible says battles have taken place and where it says great cities once stood, archaeology has proven true. Compare that to how many times archaeologists have found missing links. Zero times. The missing links they once thought were legitimate have later been proven to be completely normal and within the realm of logic. True science also contradicts the Bible. I would like to state the second law of thermodynamics which says that because in chemical reactions some energy is lost as heat, the universe is continually driving towards entropy. Entropy can be defined as lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder. This universal law agrees with the Biblical account of creation when you take into perspective that the Bible also says that the fall of mankind made this world unperfect. This, coupled with the Biblical account of the great flood, provides very believable and plausible arguments against evolution which says that the world was born from disorder and is continually getting better or evolving into something higher. The last reason that I give for disproving evolution is that it provides no hope for mankind. According to evolution, there is nothing supernatural, no higher plane of existence than this world. This means that when you die, thats it! There is nothing beyond death. The Bible says something very different. It says that everything we do here will be accounted for in the afterlife. It says that this life is not the end. It gives us hope for things to come. The Bible says that we who have accepted Gods plan of salvation will live eternally in heaven! What a promise. In the end, its all about faith. What will you believe? That you evolved from apes, have no purpose in life, and no hope for the future? Or that God created you and loves you, and that He has great things in store for your life? Its a simple question. What will you believe?
