Under KDS steel Umbrella, facilities as follows:

1. Cold rolling facilities: Kycr coil industries ltd., a leading concern of kds steel has setup a state of the art cold Rolling Mills complex at kumira, 25 km from Chittagong. The plant has been setup as a backward integration effort to provide necessary raw materials for the KDS Groups own Galvanizing plant and the surplus to other consumers in the industry.

The plant notably is the only European plant of its kind in the country, supplied by SMS DEMAG Germany, a world leader in this sector. The plant was operated 18 months under the direct supervision and technical assistance of SMS DEMAG Germany, the result is a continuous and efficient supply of flawless quality product unrivalled by any other in the industry, thus enabling us to be the most reliable supplier of cold rolled sheet in the region. KDS is supplying major portion of CR its own galvanizing unit and balance for export in Africa and South East Asian market.

Cold rolled closed Annealed: Kycr CRCA lines production capacity 25,000 M.T per year. 90% of its production supplied in domestic market. KDS steel introduced first time in Bangladesh 100% Hydrogen based annealing furnace for the manufacturer of soft annealed steel. Annealing at Hydrogen atmosphere Bell Type annealing by stein Heurtey, France. 2. Galvanizing facilities:

In year, 1989, KDS steel commissioned its 1st Galvanizing line with 12,000 M.T. During year 2000, it installed a continuous Galvanizing line from Nagaoka Iron Works, Japan under KDS KY steel.Using wet flux technology with production of 30000MTPA of galvanized coil and sheet.

KYCR NOF Galvanizing Mill: In December 2007, the KDS steel has commissioned its first Bon ox furnace(NOF) type continuous Galvanizing line to produce Lead free galvanized sheet of international quality under the name KYCR NOF with production capacity of 60,000 TPA.

NOF type of galvanizing is the worlds latest technology in galvanizing in order to keep the environment clean and cope the emerging market

requirements for the better and high quality lead free galvanized materials both in domestic and international export market.
