LESSON PLAN I will take over from my colleague. 1. We will be doing a new lesson '' An Innocent Man'', page 66. First we will discuss about the text, what do they see on the picture, explain the words like innocent, accuse, apologize or any other unknown words or phrases. If necessary I will write them on the board with or without translation. 2. Students will listen to the text, then we will discuss about the message of the text, being falsely accused, ask about their opinions on this matter, their pro's and con's. With this I will see that are their thoughts on being guilty or accused. They can share their experiences if they want. 3. We are now doing the exercises from the text. From matching A to B column to True/False answers from the text. I will give them couple of minutes to do the tasks. Volunteers can read their answers first. 4. The next task will be a game- Mock Trial Game. From the situation in the text, we will create a mock court case. Every student will get his/hers role, from the defendant, lawyers, witnesses, judge and court interpreters1, if all group members are present. I will explain the rules and give them time to prepare. The court session should take 10-15 min. 5. Now we are supposed to cover exercises from the workbook, from completing the sentences with the words from the box, writing direct speech sentences, choosing correct form Told/Said etc. With this I will finally check if they understood the grammar forms correctly, and if necessary explain additionally. If time runs out, everything else that we didn't do will be for homework.

1 Only they can directly speak to the judge, one for the defense team and other for the prosecutor, they will report what the people from the witness stand said, using reported speech He/She said form.
