Nature of the Work/ Experience


I.
I am responsible for the daily operations of restaurants and other establishments that prepare and serve meals and beverages to customers. Besides coordinating activities among various departments, such as kitchen, dining room, and banquet operations, food service managers ensure that customers

are satisfied with their dining experience. In addition, they oversee the inventory and ordering of food, equipment, and supplies and arrange for the routine maintenance and upkeep of the restaurants equipment and facilities. Managers generally are responsible for all of the administrative and human-resource functions of running the business, including monitoring employee performance and training.

Managers interview, train, and when necessary, suspend employees. Retaining good employees is a major challenge facing food service managers. Managers oversee the training of new employees and explain the establishments policies and practices. They schedule work hours, making sure that enough workers are present to cover each shift. If employees are unable to work, managers may have to call in alternates to cover for them or fill in themselves when needed. Some managers may help with cooking, clearing tables, or other tasks when the restaurant becomes extremely busy.

Food service managers ensure that diners are served properly and in a timely manner. They investigate and resolve customers complaints about food quality or service. They monitor orders in the kitchen to determine where backups may occur, and they work with the chef to remedy any delays in service. Managers direct the cleaning of the dining areas and the washing of tableware, kitchen utensils, and equipment to comply with company and Dubai Municipality Food department sanitation standards. Managers also monitor the actions of their employees and patrons on a continual basis to ensure the personal safety of everyone. They make sure that health and safety standards regulations are obeyed.

In addition to their regular duties, food service managers perform a variety of administrative assignments, such as keeping employee work records, preparing the payroll, and completing paperwork to comply with licensing laws and tax, wage and hour, unemployment compensation, and Dubai Municipality laws. Some of this work may be delegated to an assistant manager or bookkeeper; most general managers retain responsibility for the accuracy of business records. Managers also maintain records of supply and equipment purchases and ensure that cash accounts with suppliers are paid.

Managers tally the cash and charge receipts received and balance them against the record of sales. They are responsible for depositing the days receipts at the bank or securing them in a safe place. Finally, managers are responsible for locking up the establishment, checking that ovens, grills, and lights are off, and switching on alarm systems.

I. Responsible for all type of Payables and receivables. II. Accountant will post the Credit Bill, Credit Invoice, and Cash Invoices in Oracle system. III. PO Bills will be entered by store supervisor in Oracle when receiving any Credit Invoice. IV. Consolidations of all the company statements with Company System statements are the responsibility of Accountant.

V. All Other Bills i.e. Utilities Bills, Assets purchases bills, Cash Bills entering in Oracle is the responsibility of Accountant. VI. On time payments to all the Vendors/Suppliers are the Major priority of Finance Controller and Accountant. VII. In case of delay of any payables or receivable is the responsibility of accountant. VIII. Accountant also review computer printouts against regularly maintained journals and make necessary corrections. IX. Accountant will review invoices and statements to ensure that all the information appearing on them is accurate and complete, X. Accountant may reconcile computer reports with oracle reports. XI. The information is then stored in Oracle database or as computer printouts, or both. The widespread use of computers also has enabled bookkeeping and accounting to take on responsibilities, such as payroll, procurement, and billing. XII. Accountant will write letters and make phone calls to Vendors and customers for receivables and payables. XIII. By reviewing purchasing records and making or verifying calculations, they ensure that even the most complicated bills are accurate. XIV. Accountant is responsible to enter the petty cash voucher in oracle and keep the full record of Petty Cash payments. XV. Before submitting to finance controller, accountant must verified all the payments and receivables. XVI. Account must keep the contact information of all the suppliers. ( for help he can use oracle data base) XVII. Coordination with branches regarding the cash and credit purchases done in branches is under the control of accountant. XVIII. Keep the records secure for auditing the responsibility of accountant. XIX. Coordination with all the department regarding payables and receivables are the Major responsibility of Accountant. XX. After the reconciliation of all the payment and submitting to finance controller before the 10th of every month is a major priority of accountant. XXI. In case of any delay of submitting the reconciled statement of a vendor, accountant must make his remarks of hard copies stating that why the payment is delayed. XXII. If there is no discrepancy in petty cash submitted documents then on time payment is the responsibility of accountant. XXIII. Accountant will check the all kind of petty cash documents and if he found any discrepancy he will immediately return the document to particular department. After the rectification of the discrepancy that department will resubmit the documents to accountant. XXIV. Recertified/verified all the petty cash payments before making Cheques

All organizations need a timely and effective office and administrative support to operate office system efficiently, Office and administrative Managers coordinate with this support. These workers are employed in virtually every sector of the economy, working in positions as varied as accounts supervisor, customer services manager, or HR managers i. Although specific functions of office and administrative Manager vary significantly, I share many

common duties. For example, I perform administrative tasks to ensure that our staffs can work efficiently. Equipment and machinery used in their departments must be in good working order. If the computer system goes down or a fax machine malfunctions, the supervisors must try to correct the problem and

alert repair IT personnel. I will also request new equipments or supplies for their departments when necessary. ii. Planning of work and supervising staff are key functions of my job. To do these effectively, I must

know the strengths and weaknesses of each member of the staff, as well as the results required and time allotted to each job. iii. Admin. Manager must make allowances for unexpected staff absences and other disruptions by

adjusting assignments or performing the work themselves if the situation requires it. iv. After allocating work assignments and issuing deadlines, office and administration managers oversee

the work to ensure that it is proceeding on schedule and meeting established quality standards. v. This may involve reviewing each persons work on a computer in which system organization has

implementedas in the case of accounting or listening to how a worker deals with customersas in the case of customer services representatives. When supervising long-term projects, the admin Manager may meet regularly with other staff members to discuss their progress. vi. Office and administrative managers also evaluate each workers performance. If a worker has done a

good job, the supervisor indicates that in the employees personnel file and may recommend for a promotion or other award. Alternatively, if a worker is performing inadequately, the supervisor discusses the problem with the employee to determine the cause and helps the worker to improve his or her performance. This might require sending the employee to a training course or arranging personal counseling. If the situation does not improve, the admin. Manager may recommend a transfer, demotion, or dismissal. vii. Office and administrative managers usually interview and evaluate prospective employees. When new

workers arrive on the job, Admin. Manager greets them and provides orientation to acquaint them with their organization and its operating routines. Some Admin. Manager may be actively involved in recruiting new workersfor example, by making presentations in restaurants business its necessary to involve in new workers recruiting. viii. Supervisors help train new employees in organization and office procedures. They may teach new

employees how to use the telephone system and operate office equipment. Because most administrative support work is computerized, they also must teach new employees to use the organizations computer system. When new office equipment or updated computer software is introduced, supervisors train experienced employees to use it efficiently or, if this is not possible, arrange for their employees to receive special outside training. ix. Office and administrative manager often act as liaisons between the administrative support staff and

the professional, technical, managerial staff and management. This may involve implementing new company policies or restructuring the workflow in their departments. They also must keep their superiors informed of their progress and any potential problems. Often, this communication takes the form of research projects and progress reports. Because supervisors and managers have access to information such as their departments performance records, they may compile and present these data for use in planning or designing new policies of the company.
