QUICK REFERENCE
L-Edit is shipped with the following default keyboard shortcuts. All keyboard mappings may be customized using Setup > Application > Keyboard.
Function Open the Find Object dialog. Find the next appearance of an object. Find the previous appearance of an object. Open Edit Objects dialog. Push down one level to edit in place an instance's cell. Pop up one level from editing in place an instance's cell. Select object under cursor and cycle through the hierarchy to edit in place. Pop to top cell when down more than one level during edit in place. Fit view to top cell when editing in place. Move by--move selected objects by a given amount. Enable base point mode. Place base point at cursor. Open the Layer Manager. Move origin.
Edit Operations
Key(s) Ctrl+W Ctrl+C, Shift+Ins Ctrl+X, Shift+Del Ctrl+V, Shift+Ins Alt+V Function Close the active file. Copy selected objects to the clipboard. Cut selected objects to the clipboard. Paste contents of clipboard to the current cell. Paste to layer--paste contents of clipboard to the currently selected layer in the active cell. Delete selected objects.

Duplicate selected objects. Undo last operation. Redo last operation. Select all objects. Deselect all selected objects. Switch to selection mode.

Key(s) Space Home Z Function Redraw screen. Fit view of active cell to current window. Put mouse in zoom mode: left button click zooms one level in left button drag creates a zoom box right button click zooms one level out Zoom out by a factor of two. Zoom in by a factor of two. Zoom by--enter a value greater than 1 to zoom in, less than 1 to zoom out. Zoom to fit selected objects only. Pan and zoom to center all selected objects. Pan left. Pan right. Pan up. Pan down. Pan to left edge of a cell. Pan to right edge of a cell. Pan to top edge of a cell. Pan to bottom edge of a cell.

Key(s) Alt+X B Ctrl+G Ctrl+U Function Nibble a geometric shape from the selected objects. Boolean/Grow operations on selected objects. Group selected objects into a new cell. Ungroup the selected instances into their component objects. Pick layer--change the current layer to the layer of the selected object (or to the layer that the cursor is over if no object is selected.) Force move--changes from drawing to move mode to replace edit operations with move operations.

QUICK REFERENCE
Mouse Shortcuts
ZoomBox Press Z before any mouse operation to enter ZoomBox mode. Layer Palette This mode is active whenever the cursor is over the Layer Palette. DRC Box Use Tools > DRC Box or the icon shown below to enter this mode.

Mouse functionality depends on the active mode. Selection The arrow icon indicates selection mode.

Use the mouse wheel to scroll up or down. Use SHIFT+mouse wheel to scroll left or right.
