RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This project is entirely based on the topic recruitment and selection processes which

every company uses as a tool to get a good working team for the business effective survival and competition in market. These two are the tools which helps the companies to attract maximum number of talent for their companies so that they can use that talent for their companys benefits. Recruitment refers to the process of attracting, screening, and selecting a qualified person for a job. All companies in any industry can benefit from contingency or retain professional recruiters or outsourcing the process to recruitment agencies. The recruitment industry has four basic types of firms. Employment agencies Headhunters Employer branding Advertising

Selection involves the series of steps by which the candidates are screened for choosing the most suitable persons for vacant posts. Recruitment is a positive process i.e. encouraging more and more employees to apply WHEREAS selection is a negative process as it involves rejection of the unsuitable candidates. Selection is concerned with selecting the most suitable candidate through various interviews and tests. Selection results in a contract of service between the employer and the selected employee.

Both recruitment and selection are the two phases of the employment process but the both should be done effectively for the better results the work of both recruitment and selection should complement each other as recruitment is the process which helps the company to attract maximum number if people for their company whereas selection is the process which helps in selecting the most suitable candidate through various interviews and tests.
