What do you wish Red Spark to look like?
Red Spark should become one of South Africa's leading design agencies with ties into African Business either in doing work for African clients or partnering up with other African firms to do such business such as multi-national marketing, advertising and branding designing jobs. Red Spark must be a regular contributor to Design Indaba and also a regular nominee for South Africa Media and Advertising Awards.

What do I wish Red Spark to be like on a day to day basis?


Red Spark should be a design agency that pioneers ideas for in-house design and marketing campaigns and concepts which can also be recycled and used for client work. It should do quality, conceptual and though provoking work for its clients, using design to tie in brand goals and market perceptions beautifully. It should be an agency that fosters talent and design trends by providing an

environment that stimulates constant learning and innovation of tools, knowledge and generated or inspired ideas.

What would I like to say I truly know in Red Spark, about Red Spark?
Red Spark is a design agency that does not design work for client. It designs ideas, concepts, principles, beliefs and ultimately culture. It chooses to always go beyond the work being asked of to connect with people and create enlightenment within them when they experience a Red Spark design. It is an agency that strives to create enlightenment, inspiration and betterment of people through its designs, hence changing the world that design exists within to create a better world.

How do I want Red Spark to be like with Customers, Business Associates, Employees and Communities?
Red Spark should be a key to unlocking brand potential or realiser for its clients, its partners should feel as they have a spearhead that they can use to target and penetrate its target markets with their designs. Investors must be know that their time, money and effort has gone into a business despite being in a saturated market, a sustainable and profitable business is being created from creating a revenue engine based on delivering market changing results and innovation that separates it from the rest. Red Spark must be an experience creator through its designs, It must be a brand that all markets look forward to its work because of the enlightening experiences it brings in all it designs, the lessons, cultures, principles and beliefs it exudes within those designs to make all who experience them better people. Red Spark should a medium through which clients will be able to achieve their business goals by using design. It should be a haven when a business has no idea how to progress business wise in terms of brand growth and expansion. Red Spark will be a place of experimentation, innovation and pioneering of design ideas for its employees. It will be a place where employees will learn things beyond just the field of design such as science, maths, psychology, philosophy, business, etc. in order to become better designers who don't create products but design experiences. Red Spark will be a brand that gives back to its communities, not by shallow and tangible solutions but creative ways for them to uplift themselves mentally and spiritually as well through tangible means using the power of design to achieve

How would I like people to think of Red Spark?


The everyday man must think of Red Spark as a great South African brand that operates and challenges world standards in its work. It is a brand that hires the best talent. Talent that looks almost super human in its execution and conceptualization of work. It is a brand that has changed the life of the everyday man in South Africa by constantly teaching them, guiding their knowledge and trend paths. It is a brand ran by the best young talent that Africa has to offer.

What do I want Red Spark to be in 2 years? 5 years? 10 years?


Red Spark, in 2 years, must create a sustainable revenue stream to afford its own office space and studios. It must have landed at least 3 high profile nation wide clients. It must have a nomination at a south Africa Design award show. It must be seen as the new disruptive Design agency, that is changing the perception of design and consumerism amongst the common everyday man. Red Spark must be a leading design agency in south Africa. It must have 3 blue chip clients and as well as many other brands it designs for. It must have won its first design award. It must also be a regular contributor to South African and African design exhibitions and showcases. It must be the leading design agency in at least 3 design categories. Red Spark must become an African brand pioneering the culture of Design in Africa in the 21st century and with technology. It must be a brand that changes lives through design through great environmental and cultural projects using design. It must have satellite offices within Africa. It must be a million rand company with a client portfolio consisting of Africa's 50 biggest companies doing design work for them in Africa. It must also dabble in international design campaigns as well.

What would I like Red Spark to teach all who work within it?
Red Spark must teach, intrinsically as people, that design is more than just making something pretty, it's about creating a perception you want people to accept about what you are expressing. That in order to successfully design, one must accept who they are, understand the dynamics of self in order to fully master their own unique way of creating infinite perceptions from their once in a lifetime perspective. Red Spark must teach, physically, that design can be created and showcased or

expressed anywhere. Design is all about perception and expression of that perception to influence a person's life. So we must always think of innovative ways to physically or sensually deliver that package of perception and expression. Red Spark must teach, financially, that it provides the best value for money you can get, it will teach how to use current value combined with dynamics of who you provide that value to, in order to create even more value to even more people who will need it. Red Spark must teach, technically, that design goes beyond machines, visual design and the end result. That the beginning is even more crucial than the end. It will teach how to teach the most powerful designs by going beyond the borders of design knowledge and thinking into other fields of knowledge and thinking in order to complement Design to deliver the best and most powerful design possible Red Spark will teach design thinking. A form of thinking used to create perceptions and expressions that create solutions to either solve a problem or expose value that can be used to unlock any kind of potential the design is aimed at. It will teach to think beyond knowledge boundaries and perspectives.

How much money will Red Spark need to achieve the set benchmarks?
To achieve its above mentioned 2 year goals, Red Spark will need R1.8 million to achieve its goals. The estimate has been created from needing R1 000 000 for office space, marketing and advertising, equipment and business costs to last 2 years and R900 000 for wages for the staff required to achieve the goals. To achieve its above mentioned 5 year goals, Red Spark will need R5 million to achieve its goals. The estimate has been created from needing R2 000 000 for office space, marketing and advertising, equipment and business costs and R3 000 000 for wages for the staff required to achieve the goals. To achieve its above mentioned 10 year goals, Red Spark will need R15 million to achieve its goals. The estimate has been created from needing R7 000 000 for office space, marketing and advertising, equipment and business costs, setting up offices and systems between all offices and R8 000 000 for wages for the staff required to achieve the goals.
