The car of the future

Introduction Hello! Ill start by introducing myself. My name is Do you remember the Jetsons family, the cartoons? They were a normal family who lived in the future. And they had this flying car that was shaped in a round form, with the hood made of glass. Today Im not going to talk about the Jetsons car, but something that will be a part of our lives: the car of the future. Ive divided my talk into three main parts: The good, the bad and beyond. Firstly, what I want to do is give you some background on the main advantages of this car. Potential future car technologies include varied energy sources and materials, which are being developed in order to make automobiles more energy efficient with reduced regulated emissions. With rising gas prices, now the future of cars is leaning towards fuel efficiency, energy-savers, hybrid vehicles, battery electric vehicles, and fuel-cell vehicles. In addition to that, in one experiment done to improve the future of cars, an old kind of battery was installed which can not be removed, and recharged in two different ways. First, by a generator integrated with the IC and second by removing the cassettes so that they can be recharged off-board in the home. Secondly, I would like to present some of the concepts designed by various passionate auto designers. 1. The CLEVER is an acronym for Compact Low Emission Vehicle for Urban Transport. Designed especially for city dwellers it was created at the Technical University in Berlin, Institute for Motor Vehicles. The vehicle seats two people, requires little space, has a low weight, a low fuel consumption and low emissions. 2. Nanish K R was created by Indian auto designer Nanish K R. The vehicle is powered by four independent electromagnetic wheels, which are each made of two sliding rings one being an electromagnet and one being a permanent magnet. The electromagnet is powered by lithium-ion batteries installed on the vehicles chassis and gets the same polarity as the permanent magnet. This creates a force which converts the rings into motion. 3. The MAG. The Magnetic Concept Car, simply known as The MAG, is the brainchild of designer Mat Prochczka. With its futuristic body this innovative concept car is driven by an electric engine that generates a magnetic field, which propels the vehicle forward.

Regarding the bad aspects of the future car, the main problem in developing cleaner, energy efficient automobiles is the source of power to drive the engine. A variety of alternative fuel vehicles have been proposed or sold, including electric cars, hydrogen cars, compressed-air cars and liquid nitrogen cars. Some types of alternative fuel vehicle are air engine, battery-electric, solar, biofuels, hydrogen, liquid nitrogen gas or hybrid cars. Thirdly, if we look beyond, we can even think of the flying car, an aircraft that would be practical enough for every-day travel, but would not necessarily be drivable on the roads. Furthermore, as a current development example, I will highlight the Parajet Skycar utilises a paramotor for propulsion and a parafoil for lift. The main body consists of a modified dune buggy. It has a top speed of 80 mph (130 km/h) and a maximum range of 180 miles (290 km) in flight. On the ground it has a top speed of 112 mph (180 km/h) and a maximum range of 249 miles (401 km). To sum up, some of the advantages of this concept car are energy savers, optimization of engine operation, reduction of noise pollution and alternative fuel engine. I hope you enjoyed this idea and that soon well see, even try this new type of car.
