Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Teachers for America's Future Signature Sponsors
http://www.afcea.org/education/scholarships/undergraduate/TeachersScholarshi p.asp The AFCEA Educational Foundation is offering 50 scholarships of $5,000 each to students actively pursuing an undergraduate degree, graduate degree or credential/licensure for the purpose of teaching STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) subjects at a U.S. middle or secondary school. The scholarships are made possible by generous contributions from Booz Allen Hamilton, Terremark Worldwide, AFCEA International and several of AFCEAs regional chapters. To be eligible, students must be U.S. citizens with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (or equivalent). Undergraduate candidates must be attending an accredited U.S. college or university on-campus and majoring in secondary education or a STEM field for the purpose of teaching STEM subjects in a U.S. middle or secondary school. Undergraduate applications will be accepted from current sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Graduate-level candidates must be currently enrolled in at least two semester-equivalent classes at an accredited U.S. college or university. Credential and licensure students must have completed a bachelors degree in a STEM major. Information on 2011 recipients of scholarships also is available. In addition to the $5,000 scholarship, each graduating AFCEA STEM Scholar can receive a $1,000 AFCEA STEM Teaching Tools grant each year for three years if the recipient continues teaching a STEM subject. These grants can be used to fund hardware and software, other classroom tools, field trips, STEM-focused clubs and other activities.
A one-time $2,500.00 grant for educational purposes. The scholarship will be awarded upon completion of the spring 2011 semester with a GPA of 3.0 or better.
NSHSS Foundation STEM scholarships are created to help reduce financial barriers for high school seniors entering college to pursue STEM majors--Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The scholarships targeted to entering college freshmen who belong to groups generally under-represented in STEM careers. The scholarships are to for the student's first year of college.
The overarching goal of the CGCC HTTPS Project is to provide specialized educational opportunities and services for academically talented full-time financial-aid eligible students with majors or program interests pursuing degrees in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Anyone with a financial need can apply. All HTTPS recipients will have an ultimate goal to complete an Associate Degree and/or transfer to a Baccalaureate Degree-granting
institution, and a long term goal of entering the workforce in their skill area. Average scholarship is up to $2500 per semester, or $5000 per year
NACME is responsible for more than $4 million in scholarships awarded annually to underrepresented minority students. Through the NACME Scholars Program, NACME provides block grants to colleges and universities that, in turn, give the money to talented African American, American Indian, and Latino students enrolled in engineering programs as part of their financial aid packages. The program was created to achieve the following goals: -Provide financial support to minority engineering students who have demonstrated financial need. -Leverage NACMEs partnerships with academic institutions to increase the retention-to-graduation rate of all minority engineering students enrolled at those schools. -Increase the capacity and capability of academic partner institutions to recruit, admit, retain, educate, and graduate minority engineering students.

2012-2013 Diversity Scholarship for Freshmen and Transfers Northern Illinois University College of Engineering and Engineering Technology (CEET)

The Diversity Scholarship is awarded to new students who are admitted for the Fall 2012 semester. THE AWARD The scholarships are valued at $1,500 each for one academic year ($750 per semester, does not include summer) and are not renewable. Application deadline: application must be postmarked or hand delivered by 4:30 pm on September 14, 2012. ELIGIBILITY Admitted to NIUs College of Engineering and Engineering Technology for the Fall 2012 semester as either a: First semester freshmen, possessing a minimum grade point average of 3.25/4.0 and a competitive class rank. OR, a transfer student having completed 24 or more semester hours of transferable college work, possessing a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00/4.00. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent alien resident of the United States. Must be a member of an under-represented group; African American, Asian, Hispanic, Native American or female. REQUIREMENTS - Students must earn a minimum of 24 semester hours for the academic year of attendance. An academic year will be considered as consecutive Fall and Spring semesters. - Students must earn a minimum of 12 semester hours each semester of attendance for Fall and Spring semesters. - Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 or above in all NIU course work. - Students must be a declared major in the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology for both the Fall and Spring semesters. - The recipients of this scholarship will be expected to engage in community service pertaining to participation in Open Houses, Major Fair, Admitted Students Day, Welcome Day, working with high schools under the CEET Adopta-High School project, engage in Student Association Committee (SAC) activities, giving college tours, etc. The obligation will not exceed more than 5 hours per week.

The Engineering and Technology Leadership Tuition Program is awarded to new students who are admitted for the Fall 2012 semester. THE AWARD The scholarship is valued at $5,000 each ($2,500 per semester) for one academic year (fall and spring semester, does not include summer), and is renewable (Please note: waivers are not applicable toward Study Abroad coursework). Amount awarded is applicable only toward tuition and cannot exceed the cost of tuition. Application deadline: extended to February 22, 2012. Candidates who are selected will be notified in March. ELIGIBILITY Admitted to NIUs College of Engineering and Engineering Technology for the Fall 2012 semester as a first semester freshmen. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent alien resident of the United States. Preference given to a member of an under-represented group: African American, Asian, Hispanic, Native American, or female. Must possess a distinguished scholastic record and possess a minimum grade point average of 3.25/4.00. Minimum composite score of 24 on the ACT.
