Business Challenges & Strategies in Emerging Global Scenario About the College Sri Guru Gobind Singh College,

affiliated to the Panjab University, Chandigarh is a coeducational institution of eminence and repute offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Committed to imparting quality education to students and inspired by zeal to promote higher learning the College was founded by the Sikh Educational Society in the year 1966. Under the patronage of a visionary management, a persevering principal, a dedicated faculty along with a committed team of administrative staff, the College has carved a niche for itself in the region. About the Seminar Business today has become extremely challenging due to certain global economic developments such as entry of new set of economies on world map, changing consumer trends, technological advancements, fast infrastructural & communicational developments. These developments have resulted into new business environment worldwide leading to strategies such as mergers, acquisitions, takeovers, joint ventures, and diversification. In the new millennium, business corporations will have to deal with above challenges to survive and progress. The theme of the seminar Business Challenges and Strategies in Emerging Global Scenario focuses on challenges faced by the national and multinational companies and the strategies adopted by them to combat with the challenges emerging out of latest developments worldwide. The idea is to understand and put forth the challenges undiscovered and develop strategies to negate their burning effects with an eye on local and global competitiveness.

Innovative services in insurance and banking sectors Guidelines for the papers 1. Only original, unpublished work is sought. 2. The delegates are requested to send the Abstract of the paper latest by 11th January, 2012 in 300 words, 12 font sizes, Times New Roman in Ms Word with single line spacing along with name and address of author/s, contact numbers and e-mail addresses. 3. Length of FULL PAPER should be about 1200 words, 12 fonts size Times New Roman 4. in Ms Word in single line spacing and should reach at seminar.taranjitrao@gmail.com latest by 20th Jan 2012. Tables, charts and figures etc. should be serially numbered and duly acknowledged. Source of data is to be given with each table. 5. Registration fess is Rs 500/- can be deposited on the spot or through demand draft in favour of Principal, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College payable at Chandigarh.
