Perform physical workstation count, noting the number of workstations per OS type (WinXP pro, Vista, Win7 Pro/Enterprise/Ultimate) Note AV installs on workstations type, support agreements Obtain access servers create iTech Support and N-able Monitoring accounts Review server services for any accounts being used by the services, if any are using the administrator or previous providers account create and reassign them to a service account. Change the administrator password, document and supply to customer Change password and disable previous providers account Install N-able probe on server and create a one-time scan for firewalls, switches, and printers Import firewalls, switches, and printers into N-able Create N-able GPO applying it to the domain root Create WSUS GPOs for both workstations and servers Run Site Gen app for all servers Obtain backup configurations including product type, media type, schedules, and backup set Review power setup (UPS, size, management capable, dual PSU in servers) Post Initial Site Visit Create network diagrams Update customer site book on Intranet Upload site book, diagrams, pictures (named appropriately), and GPO agent install to Intranet Create Assessment document including questions for the customer, recommendations, list of things that must change either per contract or to become managed (FW, license, etc. transfers) Review assessment document with project manager, technical leads, and sales rep. Email assessment document to customer and schedule follow up visit to review Work to insure proper monitoring of all network elements in which access has been provided Second Site Visit Update client on deployment process Review assessment document with customer Remove any monitoring software used by previous vendors Reconfigure all firewalls to lock down traffic for HTTPS Management, Ping, and RDP (if possible) to come from just iTech external IP ranges. Consolidate all licensing and software media into one location, obtain copies of any licensing which were not previously procured Conducted initial monthly checklist Implement additional services BOIP/BCS Anti-Virus Anti-Spam Configure devices for SNMP (FW, Servers, Printers)
