for it. Despite Montessori education being expensive, it still remains the favourite. There has been a rise in the number of Montessori schools. According to the Indian Montessori Centre (IMC), there are 34 recognized Montessori schools in Bangalore today compared to 16 in 2006. There has been a drastic increase in the number of Montessori houses and schools. Compared to 6-10 Montessori schools few years ago, the city today has about 200 such institutions. The number of training courses has also increased. Another fact that indicates a change in trend is a boost in the number of individuals being trained at IMC.
