The Cheshire Actors Studio is a 40 seat versatile studio theatre space and rehearsal rooms set in the heart of Blakemere Craft Centre, Cheshire. We produce a diverse range of theatre working with professional actors, new writers, directors and practitioners. We also offer theatre training for student actors during the week through a series of ongoing workshops and public performances.
Cheshire Actors Studio At Blakemere Craft Centre Blakemere is set in the heart of beautiful Cheshire countryside with ample free parking on site and excellent facilities. Yet we are conveniently located just off the junction of the A49 and A556 in Sandiway, near Northwich. Only a 25 minute drive from Chester city centre and 40 minutes from both Manchester and Liverpool, we are easily accessible from the M56 and M6 motorways.
The Story So Far................... In October 2011 we moved into our new theatre space at Blakemere Craft Centre, with the aim to train and help develop the skills of the actor, both young and old and also to provide a permanent repertory style season of theatre in the heart of Cheshire. The Studio is home to three acting ensembles: The Studio Theatre Company, The Studio Players and The Studio Youth Theatre. So far since our arrival in October 2011, we produced four productions in as many months, Art opened the studio, followed by a world premiere of Benjamin Barkers Final Hour. We then moved onto staging One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest and nished at Christmas with a devised promenade performance of A Christmas Carol. Already 2012 is shaping up to be an exciting one, with Someone Wholl Watch over Me, performed by the Studio Theatre Company opening our season, followed by a version of Lord Of The Flies by our very own Studio Youth Theatre. Later this year the Cheshire Actors Studio will be bringing you productions of Cabaret, Wind In The Willows, The Tale Of King Arthur, Efes Burning and Dumb Waiter to name but a few. Summer brings our exciting Open Air Shakespeare At Blakemere, set within the courtyard walls, we will be performing William Shakespeare's - A Midsummer Nights Dream.
