Respiratory Therapy (RT) Respiratory services are available for our patients with breathing impairments. These services are designed to help control or lessen their symptoms or complications. The Respiratory Therapist provides treatment, screening and education for the following conditions: Emphysema Bronchitis Pneumonia Asthma Shortness of Breath Obstructive Sleep Apnea Other Lung Diseases Our approach to rehabilitation features a truly cohesive, interdisciplinary rehabilitation team including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, working together with Nursing, Dietary, Social Services, and Therapeutic Recreation to assist patients in reaching their maximum potential. Lord Chamberlain provides aggressive treatment protocols, which have been modified to fit each individual's needs. They progress at their own pace, based upon their level of endurance and medical involvement. The patient is the most valued member of the rehabilitation team and we convey that to patients through support, respect, and encouragement. Our mission is dedicated to maximizing independence, safety, comfort, and quality of life for those residents remaining in our facility, as well as those returning home.

PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical Therapy (PT) is the rehabilitation specialty that works closely with an individual to restore their functional abilities. Some treatments may include flexibility and strengthening exercises, as well as, gait training, balance activities, safety with transfers and pain management techniques. Physical Therapists are highly specialized healthcare professionals who are able to assess the individuals deficits and develop treatment programs accordingly. OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Occupational Therapy (OT) is the rehabilitation specialty that assists an individual to regain the ability to perform activities of daily living. The goal is to assist the individual to regain these abilities while encouraging independence. These abilities are often regained using splints and adaptive equipment.
