LUBRICATION ORDER

1. Intervals (on-condition or hardtime) and the related manhour times are based on normal operation. The manhour time specified is the time you need to do all the services prescribed for a particular interval. Change the hardtime interval if your lubricants are contaminated or if you are operating the equipment under adverse operating conditions, including longer-than-usual operating hours. The hard time interval may be extended during periods of low activity. If extended, adequate preservation precautions must be taken. 2. The lowest level of maintenance authorized to lubricate a point is indicated by one of the following symbols as appropriate: Operator/Crew (C) or Field Maintenance (F). 3. The time specified is the time required to perform all services at the particular interval (on-condition or hardtime).

Interval Daily Weekly Initial 250 or 500 Hour Monthly Quarterly Semiannually Annually

4. This LO is for Crew (C) or Field Maintenance (F). Lube intervals (on-condition or hardtime) are based on normal operation. Lube more during constant use, and less during inactive periods. Use correct grade of lubricant for seasonal temperature expected. 5. Dashed leader lines (---) used in illustrations of lubrication points indicate that lubrication is required on both sides of the machine. 6. Before you start your lube service: ALWAYS Clean grease fittings before lubrication. Use the lubrication order as your guide. NEVER Use wrong type/grade grease. Use too much lubricant.

7. Oil filters shall be serviced/cleaned/changed as applicable: a. When they are known to be contaminated or clogged. b. At prescribed hardtime intervals. 8. The D7R Dozers are not enrolled in the Army Oil Analysis Program (AOAP). HARDTIME INTERVALS APPLY. 9. For equipment under manufacturers warranty, hardtime oil service intervals shall be followed. Intervals shall be shortened if lubricants are known to be contaminated or if operation is under adverse conditions (i.e., longer-than-usual operating hours, extended idling periods, extreme dust). 10. For Arctic operation, refer to FM 9-207, Operation and Maintenance of Ordnance Materiel in Cold Weather for lubrication instructions in cold weather.
